for those that haven't guessed, Smola was pro Amos....all the way! That may have been the only thing he ...wasn't misleading on!

I thought that Gordon Shenkle and Tracy Young were the best of the bunch at the forum. Both were straighforward and answered the best. I really liked Tracy Young's idea of ACCOUNTABILITY IN GOVERNMENT. Wow what a novel idea in Tyrone....the current government is the most unaccountable and uncaring government I have ever lived under.

Agreed. Tracy Young and Gordon Shenkle did an excellent job. I just hope that if they are elected that they stick to their guns. Can someone explain to me what is up with Smola. Does he always sit there and shake his head at everything like that or does he have tourettes?

Really pulled away from the pack. They clearly took the lead while the others listened to them and dittoed their answers. But they were the wise ones and it was hard to miss. As for Smola and Rewhald, Smola could barely hold back getting nasty. A few times I thought he was going to revert to his looking over his glasses and sneering like he does at council meetings but he held it in check. The big bomb planned by Smola was kind of a little squeek when it went off. Everyone knows he is nasty so they were waiting for his true colors to come out, but he had someone else do his bidding. But true to form, he dissapointed no one.

IT was clear who was pro-Amos: Smola, of course, Matthews and Nasicscsnncooo (however you spell it) and probably Dial, too. That was a low blow directed at Rehwaldt when that guy got up and asked him about how interprets religious beliefs or whatever he asked, it seemed irrelevant to me. But it was a set up from Smola, and Dial was in deep conversation with the man who asked it after the debate. Looks suspicious. I mean, is Don not entitled to speak about such things? Its not like he declared he worshiped Satan, like Barry probably does.

It is a little scary that no one knew that the newspapers DO NOT BID on being the official legal organ for Tyrone. The council decides and adopts what newspaper will be their legal organ at the outset of each year. Hey, Smola, haven't you been sitting on the town council now for a while? Doesn't look to good for Smola. I'll excuse the rest of the candidates, but if any of you make it into office, please read the town's ordinances which are laws and they mandate that you advertise legal announcements in a specific manner. But maybe Smola just slipped. That is how the current adminstration does things, you know, lowest bid, secret bid......was it a freudian slip??
