Fyt35: Welcome Iran to NYC!It has made me sick to my stomach to find out that Iranian dictator Ahmadinejad wanted to visit ground zero, thankfully he was denied. But to speak at prestigious Columbia University? what in the world are they thinking? This school denied access to our own ROTC, but to allow a sponsor of terrorism to come to our shores? bad_ptc: Hack, this one's for youbad_ptc: "Children of illegal immigrants can get in-state tuition" Real Americans need NOT apply! Is this another one of those "Affirmative Action" things I've been reading so much about? This does not make any sense to me. Does anyone know anything about it?? Davids mom: A tree grows . . .discontentA year ago, your child was involved in a conflict at their high school. The conflict was centered around who could sit under a tree on the school grounds. This conflict was allowed to fester because of inept school leadership and community lack of interest. The community is a small community – where people appear to get along reasonably well. The students at the school have not had any intervention or guidance for resolution regarding this conflict about the ‘tree’. The conflict continues to fester – and a fight breaks out on the playground. The fight is serious. One student received serious injuries. Your child is reportedly involved in the fight – and is charged with attempted murder. There are conflicting stories from the witnesses. Some say your child was not even in the area – but he is charged with attempted murder at a trial that many considered unjust. A higher court finds the charges unjust – and lowers the charges. There are citizens in the community who agree with the injustice of the original charges. However, the DA in this instance stands by his charges – even though a higher legal authority has reduced the charges. Many citizens in the country acknowledge the injustice that this local criminal system tried to enforce, and feel that your small town is not the only place where justice is not distributed equally. How would you feel? appen: On to Iran with the war??!!Yesterday the French President (?) said that "the world" should prepare for the possibility of a war with Iran over their nuclear program. Since France has always in the past taken a contrary position to just about everything US, this is a change. But it worries me. Anyone out there believe that we are moving closer to a war or similar with Iran? Sure seems to me like "they" are starting to spin it, moving in the direction of taking some sort of preemtive (sp?) strike on the Clerics in Iran. Anyone else out there thinking that? Kevin Wandra: Disappointing football teamsWe're approaching another action-packed weekend of football, and there already have been many teams that have fallen below expectations: Auburn and Michigan in college, just to name two, and the New Orleans Saints, St. Louis Rams, New York Jets and New York Giants, to name four. Tonight, the Whitewater-Fayette County and Starr's Mill-Creekside games will draw the most local interest. Tomorrow, Florida-Tennessee, Georgia Tech-Boston College and USC-Nebraska all should be interesting. Then Sunday, two of the best teams in the NFL, the New England Patriots and San Diego Chargers, face each other in what should be the most exciting game of the weekend. PTCPAST: PTC no longer existsI was transferred to Atlanta a few years ago. I wanted a safe place to live with good schools, so I chose PTC. I believed the good things I read and was told. My point is that if our town wants a police department the police officers need to support the chief. masked08: Breast Cancer 3 DayThe time is near!
