The Citizen's weekly football picks will be coming out online later this week, but we don't want to leave you, the readers, out. Anybody up for making football picks?

I'm not one to fall for gimmicks and such. I would naturally assume these programs are hoaxes and scams. But, my curiosity is getting the best of me. It's having a kind of a carnival effect on my hopes.

The high school football regular season begins Friday, and every team in the area except for two will be playing. (The Starr's Mill-Cherokee and Fayette County-Mt. Zion games will be played on Saturday.)

It's not often I get the opportunity to compliment our current political leadership, but they have done the necessary in accepting Alberto's resignation. Now is not the time and these are not the days for devicive individuals in the administration. Alberto was the lightening rod in the midsts of a thunder storm that noone wanted or needed to stand near. I hope that our legislators begin to function as if they are on the same team now.

I am looking for a good dog trainer in the Fayette/Coweta area (preferably PTC). I have 2 Doberman mixes, a puppy and a year old rescue, that I would like to enroll in obedience school. I need a group class for puppies and a basic class for adults.
