Dog Training Class

AnnieCowan's picture

I am looking for a good dog trainer in the Fayette/Coweta area (preferably PTC). I have 2 Doberman mixes, a puppy and a year old rescue, that I would like to enroll in obedience school. I need a group class for puppies and a basic class for adults.
Can anyone recommend a good dog trainer?
Thanks!

I have heard good things about a family from Fayetteville who run SemperFiBoxers.com, they train all breeds of dogs.

I have heard nothing but BAD things SemperFiBoxers.com. Go with one of the stores or barkbusters. I think Doggie Day Care in Fayetteville does dog training. Or just get a couple of books. It isn't rocket science. Just kindness and consistency, just like training kids!

Although I have only cats, I do know the local Bark Buster person, and he comes very highly recommended. Visiting the website may answer some questions for you, plus entering your zip will bring up the closest franchisee who comes to YOUR HOME to do the dog training.

www.barkbusters.com

Good Luck!

Thanks, but I'm looking for a group class to get the puppy socialized. They both go to the dog park all the time, but I would prefer them to be used to listening to me with distractions like other dogs around.
I'll look into the Bark Busters, though, and see if they have what I'm looking for. Thanks again!

You could try Petsmart or Petco. They both have classes with a small number of people scheduled in each class.

But I did hear Michael Vick has a kennel where he trains and disciplines dogs.

Back to my old picture, so I can say "I don't have a dog in this fight" with real feelings.

That might be a good place for you mudcat. They use cats as bait when they train the dogs to kill.
