Obama‘s Head Fake

I generally do not discuss personal sickness or misfortune on such a public place as a blog, however I have noticed that several here are having troubles with such things and about the only advice that I can give is to approach it from an early saying going back to King Solomon: "This too shall pass."

I am not shocked about this being taught in a Baptist church- as I said before it is in all of the churches. This is not church- nor any that will teach "Black Liberation Theology".

Somehow I started wondering last night about some imaginary little old lady from Pennsylvania, living off her modest Social Security monthly check, who might have been moved to send $10, just $10, to Hillary Clinton's campaign, thrilled at the thought we might have our first woman president. Then she learns (as we all did) that Hillary and her husband raked in over $100 million in personal income over the last seven years.

The time has come when we have to decide whether we are going to live in the past or turn our eyes to the future. All too often, it is easy for us to slip into the mode of "Whose fault is all this anyway?" Mr. Bush's War, Clinton's indiscretions, the Banking/Mortgage Crisis, Rev. Wright's influence. All these things have taken place in the past, all of which do, indeed, have an influence on what we do now and in the future.

The wars will continue and will probably expand. Inflation will become common and jobs will continue to decrease.
The cost of oil, and all of the other items made from it's products, will force cost cutting by individuals to be able to survive, but public payrolls and service industries will expand and become even more costly.

Last fall the current Town Mayor and Council ran on a platform that included accountability to the citizens. Unfortunately, this was only a campaign promise not something that they actually intended to follow through on.

Am I to understand that like historic black colleges, we also have primarily black churches? Just as a handful of other races occasionally attend a black college, a few other races attend white churches, and a considerable quantity attend white colleges.
