makes a particular cup of coffee perfect for you? Is it the memorable

ASA-style Racing Lands Clanton in 10th
Hello race fans.
The series I race in, the American Speed Association (ASA), is known
to be one of the most competitive short track series in the United
States. What it might be better known for is the excitement that the
teams bring to the racetrack. This week was no exception. Despite
having one of the best cars, and leading 169 laps, the Camp Fire USA
Georgia Council team finished 10th due to contact with another car
late in the race.

God

By JOHN
HATCHER
Religion Columnist
In the last three
weeks, I have been a passenger in planes which have landed on various
runways in Africa, Europe, and the United States. The landing, for the
most part, was uneventful except the one time we landed at the John
F. Kennedy Airport, having made our way over the big drink (Atlantic
Ocean). With the airplane filled mostly with Europeans, as the airplane
landed in New York City a la U.S.A. the passengers broke out in applause.
It made sense; they had landed many for the first time in the greatest
country on the planet. Why not applause!

Wheat
aims for win-win approach for county, cities
Last week contained
only one attack letter from our opponent's campaign. So we are making
progress in changing the tone from attacks to issues. Now if we can
just get our opponent to begin addressing the issues! Our issue this
week is cooperation.
Wheat
is not telling 'the rest of the story' on pay
I see that Mike
Wheat is trying to make a campaign issue of the pay system for our county
commissioners. It might be useful for the voters to hear "the rest
of the story."
Check
Wheat's record as F'ville mayor: Rezone, annex, develop
Local politics sure
are interesting! Here we have a candidate seeking a County Commissioner's
seat, who through his spokeslady, Meredith Wynn, takes exception to
any type of criticism directed towards her client from any source.
Commission
more than 'part-time' job
A recent letter
from Mike Wheat's campaign referred to the commissioner's job as being
a part-time policy-making position requiring only three or four meetings
a month.
