Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity to be Chartered in Fayetteville

Members of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. who reside in Fayette County have initiated an interest group and are planning to charter a graduate chapter of the historic fraternity in Fayette County very soon.

The men of this fraternity feel that the legacy of the fraternity's community activism and volunteerism as well as scholarship can increase the diversity of involvement in local school mentoring, tutoring and support other local activities.

The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is the oldest African American fraternity in existence and has several undergraduate and graduate chapters in metropolitan Atlanta.

The fraternity's Fayette County interest group is seeking Alpha men who reside in the Fayette, South Fulton, and South Clayton Counties to become charter members of the Southern Crescent Chapter and become active in community activism and volunteerism. Persons interested in becoming a member or finding out more information about this organization should call (770) 460-6446.
