Ott wrong;
Bob Irvin also has campaigned in Fayette County
In reference to the Stephen Ott letter to the editor regarding Saxby Chambliss' involvement in Fayette County: I have attended at least three events in Fayette in which Bob Irvin was present and spoke knowledgably of the problems facing Fayette County and the other southern counties around Atlanta. It is my impression that he is the only candidate that has this knowledge. I have been impressed with his knowledge and involvement. I have not heard Mr. Chambliss nor seen him at any events in Fayette County. His rural Georgia background lacks familiarity with issues facing the more populated areas of Georgia. With all due respect to Mr. Bush's endorsement, I believe I can make up my own mind as to who will best represent my interests and the interests of Georgia based on the knowledge of the issues facing us all.
