Impressed with love of history

I enjoyed reading the article Sherri Smith wrote on Eddie and Felicia Lanham and the placing of the monument to Col. Benjamin Hawkins in Crawford County.

I have long been an admirer of Col. Hawkins and his life's work among the Creek Indians. I'm glad to know that his burial site is now marked properly for future generations. Thanks to the Lanhams!

I have only known Eddie and Felicia Lanham for a short time, but I, too, have been impressed with their love for the history of this country, and their dedication to the preservation of our southern heritage. Thank you for introducing them to the public at large, and to Fayette Countians in particular who may not know how much they contribute to our history.
