Thanks for giving it your all. Git Real: Write In VotesDid the civic duty thang this past week as I held my nose and cast my vote to select our next Socialist Presidential Candiate. Glad that's over. We get to see who follows our first elected socialist president ever. sniffles5: Lockdown at McIntosh High today? My snifflespawn just told me of a brief lockdown at McIntosh High school today, due to a mentally unstable person on the loose? NeilSullivan: A Perspective on School CapacityHi Neighbors: I am attaching a piece on school capacity that I have been working on since early September. To be honest it isn't as thorough as I want but it provides a perspective. I am sorry it was long but I beleive it is a larger discussion than we have had. Main Stream: HAPPY HALLOWEEEEEEN! (video)The Crime Dog: BOE cutsIn the File-Smola race we have two choices: 1. File, who has no recommended budget cuts on the table despite the impending financial crisis TonyF: "And now for something completely different"A pirate walks into a bar(ouch, that hurt) with a paper towel wrapped around his skull. The bartender asks: "what's up with the paper towel matey"? chippie: HUTCH ~~~Spear Road Guy: Before You Vote On The E-SPLOST: Read ThisIt's just amazing how the FCBOE's E-SPLOST guru can't answer a simply question. I asked Neil Sullivan to explain the over capacity issue since he keeps bragging about what a wonderful job the FCBOE does. The Crime Dog: File vs. Smola ...All the hamming about "opening" the BOE has distracted me from the real issue about our schools. The SPLOST will not pass. Hard times are here. Now. Christian: The day Mother Teresa spoke Truth to PowerDragNet: BREAKING NEWS !!!Barack Obama and Sarah Palin met last night to straighten out their differences. Here is a picture testimonial of th DragNet: Campaign of Hope vs. Campaign of FearThe Obama and McCain campaigns are an amazing contrast: On one side we have McCain and his ferociuos attack dog Palin calling Obama every possible name (from Socialist to the AntiChrist), trying desperately to find links between Obama and obscure persons, likening him to Paris Hilton, even highlighting that "Obama" sounds much like "Osama". The mud is flying, even though they know it won't affect the election. The robocalls are having the opposite effect. It is clear the intention of McCain's camp, they want to divert attention from the real issues, the economy in shambles that the Republicans (Bush and McCain) have created in the last 8 years. This campaign of fear only creates hatred and brings up the worst in humanity. They have no qualms to instrumentalize poor, unintelligent creatures like Joe the plumber. Shame on the McCain campaign for their lack of ideas and incompetence. 1bighammer: Barack Obama is the AntiChristRevelation 17 tells us that the AntiChrist a false prophet, a prophet being one whose calling it is to speak and to teach. The armies of the world may have guns and tanks and bombs to bring people into submission; but the power of speech and ideas is a mighty power. In his initial attempts to destroy the cause of God, the devil used a serpent to deceive the woman with crooked speech: "You will be like God." Now he uses a "dragon" who speaks crafty, lying words. His speeches will be heard by millions who will hang on his persuasive rhetoric. The content as well as the form of his speech will attract. Like most false prophets, he will even be sincere and passionate. But he is a liar. He adds dashes of truth to the mix, so that his lie tastes like truth. He will use all the right catchwords, using the language of the church, even throwing in a Bible text or two. But he is the ultimate Liar, and will deceive many. citizendoc: PCFD ConcernIn a recent meeting with department personnel the Chief of the Department stated, and I quote, "If you don't like the way the department is run, there is the door!" An interesting comment from someone who is supposed to be a leader, a motivator, a person who by the nature of thier job should be fostering a positive atmosphere to boost morale. Mike King: Darn, I'm Tired Of All This Crap!Come Wednesday morning hopefully we're all going to awaken pissed off, happy, or still in the fog of blissful ignorance. For me I'm thinking of going fishing and getting away from computers, televisions, radios, or even current print for I've become afflicted with pre-election overload. 1bighammer: Redistribution of WealthToday on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed. Once in the restaurant my server had on a "Obama 08" tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference--just imagine the coincidence. TonyF: Wednesday, November 5th,2008.Some of us will be happy. Some of us will be sad. Some will be angry. Some won't give a damn. diva: Why will Barack Obama be an effective President of The United StatesI find it interesting that McCain supporters and endorsers continue to speak of Senator Obama as an unknown risk who's only ability is reading teleprompters. But let's compare the very demonstrable campaigns of the principals: The Wedge: Coercion is the Hallmark of the Progressive StateSomewhere along the way during our march to the modern times, the idea of a government that exists to allow people equal opportunity to succeed has been replaced by a government that exists to give people equal outcomes. But how can there be equal outcomes among the people, a people of varying and diverse talents, intelligence, motivation, and energy? Realistically and historically, equal outcomes can only exist through extreme coercion of the populace. This coercion is justified by the Progressive State. How does it look? Nitpickers: Computers Playing Games! The DOW up and down from day to day as much as nearly a thousand points, 8-10% of the day's value. Margot: Evaluating the Mental Health of PoliticiansIt’s often said that to seek public office, one has to be crazy. It is also possible to determine which politicians are crazy and which ones are sane. samtheman: Obama mania poem'Twas the night before elections I, in my bathrobe The Crime Dog: Nicole File's "open book"I'm re-posting this because it got buried under some less important blogs: I would vote for Nicole File if she: 1. Kept her own promise about "open government." She can't even post information on her own website. The "issues" and "SPLOST" links are under construction. How are we to judge her as a potential board member? skippy875: PCFD Revolving Door?It has been a little over a week since the last "state of the ed" and I just wanted to put my two cents in on some of the things that were said that day. who is tibet: Curb that craveSniffles5: Curb your cravings sniffles5: Why Obama Will Make An Excellent Commander-in-ChiefThere was a fascinating article in Time magazine last week that left me more convinced than ever that, if elected, Barack Obama will make an excellent Commander-in-Chief. Fred Garvin: Obama’s Credit Card Scheme Gets Noticed"Apparently bloggers have been using clearly phony names and addresses on Obama’s online and credit card page – and finding that Obama turned off all the credit card security features. Most merchants will bounce back a credit card order if the card number doesn’t match the cardholder’s name, address, zip code and other personal information. Fred Garvin: Carter's Legacybarack obama is the 2nd coming of Jimmy Carter, except much, much more dangerous. Get ready for 25%+ unemployment and double-digit inflation when barack gets elected. Fred Garvin: ACORN = CROOKSRead about how ACORN, the organization that barack worked for and also gave $800,000 to, doesn't think they it needs to pay taxes. Hey, only schmucks pay taxes. |
