Last night, as the election results came in, I was aware of something that disturbed me. During the entire campaign it was made clear that the race card was “off limits”. It was off limits to the media and citizens alike. I believe for the most part that understanding was adhered to as it should be.

Who is this man? What is his expertise and goal? This is what he has been involved in before the election.

American's awakened this morning to a new President elect. The campaign is over, 21 months of two candidates bashing each other and their respective parties' ideology has come to an end. Many Americans feel that they will finally be given the opportunity to make the most of their life. I certainly hope they are right. My question though is this. And I ask this with the most sincerity I possibly can. So JeffC, Hack, Sniffles, David'sMom, Dragnet, and all you other Liberals out there spare me your normal self riteous responses and answer me sincerely.

I was tempted to title this note why Terri Smith got 42,871 votes, because that’s the answer to why Nicole File was defeated.

After tonight, my 97-year-old mother made a profound observation. She shared that we no longer have to worry about how Black Americans are portrayed in the media - for we now have a Black American family in the White House as role models of what can be achieved and has been achieved in this country when citizens take advantage of the opportunities that the United States offers to its citizens. As we watched the huge crowds celebrate this historic event - our 'America' was represented by all ages, colors, occupations, etc., etc., etc. This Obama campaign organization has taken a great step in bringing this country together.

I did not support the man, did not vote for the man, and attempted to sway others to my point of view , but despite all of this he is now the President-Elect of the United States. As such, I ask that all Americans rally to the cause that enables a nation such as ours to select its leadership without fear of reprisal.

We are living in the best country in the world, no ONE president will ruin that. We need to regroup and come back stronger and more efficient, and stick to our true conservative values and we will win!!!

By the way, did you notice the crowd listening to McCain conceding speech? It looked as diverse as First Baptist Church in any southern town.

Barack Hussein Obama will be the 44th President of the United States of America.
