Now is the time to begin the plans for a full recreational center for Peachtree City.
Those plans should include how big, what, and who would run it.

I vision 20 million to begin with, easily. Now if some want to sign a LT lease for SOME of it, OK. Also, a capital investment in it.

Here is what we need:
A basketball gym with foldup bleachers for other things. Military showers and lockers.
A tech area as good as a library with free connection.
A study area for all.
A hamburger and salad restaurant with a 100 rating.
A running and walking circle around a second floor.
An ice rink!
Educational movie theater with a stage for plays. Excellent lighting and sound.
No cubby holes!
A full-time staff with no way in without checking in and out.
Various rental areas.

There are a number of ways to make money with such a facility but about half would have to be operated with tax money.

First class bathrooms. Centrally located for golf carts.

Do not, I repeat, do not, farm it out totally. Town must oversee it.
