JeffC and his write-in vote

John Munford's picture

The Citizen blogosphere will be giddy to note that at least one voter thought it proper to write in JeffC (his real name, not his blogging handle) for one of the local races decided Tuesday night.

The voting machines print out results that show the actual name written in by each voter selecting that option. I think JeffC was written in for the Senate District 16 seat but I don't recall.

Because of the Nicole File write-in campaign, these voting machine "receipts" stretched quite long, as each write-in vote was printed on a separate line.

The printouts I scoped out were for the early voting machines with the receipts posted for everyone to see at the county elections office in downtown Fayetteville. Many were so long they stretched from the top of the exterior window ... to the bottom of the floor ... and then they curled up at the bottom.

Anyway, congrats to Jeff C on running a superb stealth campaign Eye-wink You've made us all proud! :>

I, for one, am suitably giddy. Congratulations, Jeff!

I had planned on writing in Richard Hobbs name for county coroner, but couldn't remember if it was spelled "Hobbs" or "Hobbes".

The problem with politics is that I had four other family members voting too. Hmmmm.
