It was the second time in the tournament that Sandy Creek had defeated Whitewater. They also beat Starr's Mill in the tournament(25-20, 25-21).

Rain drizzled down on Tiger Stadium as fans, accessorized with ponchos and umbrellas, filed into their seats.

Sandy Creek's Zach Lopez kicked a 31 yard field goal in the first quarter and that was all the points the Patriots would get and need to remain undefeated.

It was a wet and wild game early on for Whitewater which fell behind Northgate 10-0 due to some miscues.

The Vikings struck in the first quarter with a 27 yard field goal from Casey Vaughan. In the second quarter, Northgate quarterback Jake Copeland connected with Malcolm Poindexter on a 60 yard touchdown play.

Starr's Mill took an early lead on McIntosh Friday night and never looked back.

Trenton Edwards (four rushes for 52 yards) scored three of the Panthers' four touchdowns, while Stephen Roberts returned an interception for a touchdown. Chris Ward added a field goal for Starr's Mill.

The Coweta County Commission will conduct a public hearing Nov. 13 on a request to rezone 11.1 acres on Lower Fayetteville Road just east of Ga. Highway 154 for commercial retail development.
