The Coweta County Commission will conduct a public hearing Nov. 13 on a request to rezone 11.1 acres on Lower Fayetteville Road just east of Ga. Highway 154 for commercial retail development. The conceptual site plan for the rezoning request submitted by Sally Neal and Susan Whatley shows a shopping center with 64,500 square feet of floor space on two separate tracts. The rezoning request would have the property listed as C-6 (Commercial Minor Shopping). The property is currently zoned RC (Rural Conservation). The first tract includes 6.28 acres located on the east side of the property, said Planning Director Robert Tolleson, where plans call for 36,000 square feet of retail space. The second tract, located to the west, contains 4.82 acres and is planned for 28,500 square feet of retail. Tolleson said each building is proposed to have separate septic systems. Stormwater management will be located on the second tract and will be used for both tracts, Tolleson said. login to post comments |
