I felt I had the right to voice concerns that I have about fearing to be able to speak (not act) up. You make some good points in your reply. The history of mankind is replete with violent things done in the name of religious belief. I just don't know of any devout followers of Jesus Christ who are true to his teachings in the New Testament and are threatening to kill or are actually killing anyone in his name or to defend his honor. If this is happening, please tell me where. In all fairness, there are myriads of devout followers of Mohammed who do indeed threaten to do violence or actually do violence in the name of the Prophet or to defend his honor.

Well, I have voted and feel good about having done my duty. The Referenda were most important. NO EMINENT DOMAIN, especially. As far as candidates go, I voted for one Republican and one Democrat (MIKE MCGRAW for Congress!). The rest, I voted Libertarian, when possible, and write-in, when no Libertarian was available. For what it's worth. If you are a lackey to professional politics, don't worry- no Libertarian will hold High Office in our lifetimes, unfortunately. This generation is addicted to the two-party drama.

Economic development is achieved by creating a diverse multi-layered job market thru which the citizens of our community can achieve a better quality of life that will be less impacted by the difficulties of any one industry. Take into consideration the painful demise of Eastern airlines. Those of us who were here when that occurred remember how badly it impacted our community. It was perhaps the wakeup call that Peachtree City needed to realize we couldn’t remain a bedroom community with only airline employees and a few Atlanta commuters living in it. We began to more aggressively position our selves to build a better economic base for our community and began to market to attract new companies to feed our need for a broader tax base. Your concern is that the community in Coweta will be too high end to supply employees for jobs that would be made available thru our efforts but your info is faulty. Everything that I have read has the housing cost projected in the $100,000 to $300,000 range which is in reach for a family whose main money maker is working in industrial jobs. Also consider that there are many areas through out our community that will provide great locations for white collar company locations as well as industrial and we need to remain competitive in attracting them as well.

Is the blogger broken, or am I just not welcome here anymore? I logged in and typed a long, but innoffensive blog, then pushed "prewiew" and it disappeared.

I hope the "thinkers" among us will provide honest answers to this.

Medical research shows that approximately 1% of the world's population are born hermaphrodites, having both male and female sex organs. In the US this equates to roughly 3,000,000 people. There are case after case of gender assignment and reassignment, and reconstructive surgery, but my question is this: How would a constitutional ammendment banning same sex marraige deal with these 3,000,000 people? And how will we accomodate trans gender and post op subjects who medically attempt gender reassignment? All thoughts welcome.

Why is it that when a conservative politician meets publically with a religious leader or speaks about traditional values, liberals scream about separation of church and state.
