Salve, Fellow Citizens

Well, I have voted and feel good about having done my duty. The Referenda were most important. NO EMINENT DOMAIN, especially. As far as candidates go, I voted for one Republican and one Democrat (MIKE MCGRAW for Congress!). The rest, I voted Libertarian, when possible, and write-in, when no Libertarian was available. For what it's worth. If you are a lackey to professional politics, don't worry- no Libertarian will hold High Office in our lifetimes, unfortunately. This generation is addicted to the two-party drama.
I guarantee you this- no matter who wins, there will be Hell to Pay about these voting machines. There were two instances where I touched one bar and it recorded the other candidate or answer to a Referenum, and I had to do it over and over...and over, until the machine finally recorded the correct choice. I don't trust these computer voting machines and will do everything in my power to go have us go back to the old-fashioned paper ballot. Let us remember that it was a Democrat (Cathy Cox) who is responsible for pushing these vile computer voting machines through in Georgia. You get a receipt everytime you use an Automatic Teller Machine, why is it not the same for voting? I think the Powers That Be, Repugnant and Dimwit both, think that We The People are stupid. Perhaps we are, but there is only so much that we will put up with! Sincerely, JTP

No matter who wins, the taxpayers are going to lose. As sad as that is get out and vote everybody. At least we can pick how badly we are going to lose.

Not sure I want a reciept, that would certainly enable people to buy votes. Think about it, people bussed to the polls, are expected to vote a certain way, but they can't be forced to, if you got a "reciept", that would enable people to exert too much pressure on folks to vote the way they were told.

I had no trouble with my machine, it seemed to work fine. As far as write ins, I don't believe they count unless the write in candidate is registered to run, unless they've changed the law.

I would be in favor of being able to possibly go online and "see" who you voted for. I'm in favor of some type of tracking, just not a reciept that someone could instantly look at to see who I voted for. It's not such a problem in our area, but in big cities, walking around voting money is huge.

Some tweaking is probably in order.
