I think the real "proof in the pudding" is all of the comments made by the Coweta County Commissioners like "we really need this road" and others. They even held the developer down to 1,000 homes and 150,000 of commercial space until TDK is built or they will do an annual traffic review.

After reading blog post and comments for sometime now, I have come to realize that there are some pretty intelligent people here. With that in mind, I have to ask why everyone continues to respond to the one true idiot here (dollaradayandfound). Am I the only one that see’s dollar as one who is looking to pick a fight? The way I see it is dollar really doesn’t believe or in most cases even understand the issues. If the majority stands in support of something dollar will almost certainly stand against it and vise-versa. Example: dollar constantly criticizes the activities of the drug squad, and then comes rick7069 who also seems to respond negatively to the drug squad, and rather than build an alliance with rick, dollar attacks rick's character as rick attempts to share his story of hardships related to a prior arrest. Anyone reading the blogs should see that dollar offers no intelligent reasoning to his arguments. But maybe dollar is smarter than we (I) give him credit for, If dollar is in fact just here to infuriate other blogger’s he seems to be accomplishing that mission.

In recent weeks, my Comcast cable TV set-top box has occasionally been hijacked in the middle of a program. The cable channel display changes to the letters EAS, and a man in religious garb is seen to harangue an invisible audience. It lasts about 90 seconds and then the system resets itself to the channel I was watching.

Yesterday on WSBtv 5:00 news they showed helicopter coverage of a "standoff" in the Wynnmeade subdivision. There appeared to be a SWAT team.

According to this mornings Newnan Times-Herald (www.times-herald.com, click on News) there is going to be a joint meeting tonight in Peachtree City on the "new" road to PTC. There will be three Coweta County Commissioners attending only to answer questions and the County's Transportation Planner will be giving a presentation on Coweta's Comp. Plan with special attention on the Land Use and transportation plans. These plans can be viewed on the Coweta County Website (www.coweta.ga.us).

Been away on business for most of June but I just decided to check in and make sure Fayette hasn't gone to the birds without my blog comments. You'll be be "seeing" me more often.

The main question that I would like to see addressed is “what happened to the original plans for Peachtree City to be a suburban residential community with limited shopping venues.” The separate industrial park area was designed to create jobs and pay taxes for upkeep of the town’s infrastructure. Those who bought into Peachtree City early on came here for the simple, isolated, family-oriented town that offered safety, security and a quality of life rarely found. These days, Peachtree City has become a major hub for out of the area residents to work, shop, eat and entertain themselves. The actual residents continue to lose out because we are being overrun by out-of-towners rushing in to spend the day or rushing through to get somewhere else.

Judging by the attendance at City Council meetings not involving the TDK extension (or the two vanished Big Boxes), chances are most of you aren't going to make PTC City Hall Tuesday night at 7 p.m. for the town hall meeting hosted by Mayor Harold Logsdon.

It's less than a year away from the 2008 presidential election, and Hillary Clinton appears to be the Democratic front-runner.
