Rats deserting sinking ship

Rats have always known when a ship is sinking. They will always jump overboard before the ship goes under and start swimming somewhere.
Bush's administration has finally gotten so bad that even his most lying supporters are now fabricating a way out of it to try and prepare for the next election.
Damage control doesn't even work anymore. Bush will not even cooperate when that is tried by his former supporters. Actually, it is the one quality he has that I can admire.
A hero is needed quickly. Fred Thompson must be the best they can come up with---a lazy man, but one who so far has kept the same dumb principles he has always had.
NYC mayor, Bloomberg, changed from democrat to republican to get elected in NYC, has now abandoned the ship and become an independent. That has got to be to bargain better with Clinton and Juliani--also from NYC. I can't imagine what he wants.
I also see no democrat candidate yet who I think can win, unless the republicans foul up their nomination.
I expect some very dramatic actions concerning the Iraqi war and the Immigration problem from the republicans during the next year, just before the elections. I certainly am not deceitful or conniving enough to hardly guess what they are capable of doing, but I do believe they will try something deceptive.
Remember what Nixon did to Mrs. Douglas in California shortly before he won an election there? Called her a definite communist shortly before the election with no time for her to refute it.
Remember the firing of every Attorney General, or Solicitor, who would not fire the Special Attorney after Nixon, until he found one who would?
Now think back five years at some of the lies we have been told about the Iraqi war, and what was to be done about the immigration policy. All were deceptive and it was known when they were told.
Remember all those who went along "for the party" in the next election!
