My goodness--if you really knew these fine people you would move on to something much more important! I have personally witnessed the compasion, caring, and support of the staff at Mowell Funeral Home many times. I have seen David Mowell come into a home at 5 in the morning and comfort a grieving family as their father/husband was being transported to the funeral home and make this situation so much easier for the family.

Maricopa County was spending approximately $18 million dollars a year on stray animals, like cats and dogs, When Sheriff Joe Arpaio offered to take the department over, and the County Supervisors agreed. The animal shelters are now all staffed and operated by prisoners. They feed and care for the animals. Every animal under the care of the Sheriff is taken out and walked twice daily. He now has prisoners who are experts in animal nutrition and behavior. They give educational classes for anyone who'd like to adopt an animal. He has literally taken stray dogs off the street, given them to the care of prisoners, and even had them place in dog shows. The best part? His budget for the entire department is now under $3 million.

Barry Amos Appointed City Manager

On May 6, 2008 the City Council confirmed the appointment of Barry Amos as City Manager. The vote was five to zero with one absence.

There wasn't much to talk about yesterday (when we tape the blitz), so we'll have a short preview episode Friday and then our big, end of season extravaganza next week.

What they were doing was flashing women on the screen and bragging about "look at her figure, she is now in a size "2" from a size "12." "what she does to get there and stay is she orders fried chicken, for example, and where she used to eat all of it, now she just eats one piece.

I saw a complete waste of taxpayers time who came to court believing in justice today!

I knew better but came out of principle. Previously, I asked the judge point blank if she gave more credence to the Policeman's word than to the citizens. The answer was 'no'. I came away feeling that statement was totaly untrue.

Once again the reports are out that the students of this state have failed miserably the CRCT. After spending days teaching the test instead of learning the material this is what we get, more failure. Our education ranks near the bottom, the situation has not improved since Kathy Cox took office, what exactly is her job? What are the teachers teaching in the classroom? Who is monitoring progress? What are the parents doing about or is school just a babysitting service? How ridicolulous it is to blame it on the test; if you teach the material you should pass it, it’s not brain surgery.

Usually when such quotes or made-up stuff are written, the writer let's us know his purpose.
