This person, "His Word"

Usually when such quotes or made-up stuff are written, the writer let's us know his purpose.
I don't remember His Word saying his purpose!
If it is just to have us read the writings (which I think he quotes Bible titles as the source) I have several Bibles where I can read them.
What I need from His Word is his particular take on what he writes--otherwise I don't need him or her.
Being confounded by Bible sayings to the point of having to release your confused feelings to others in such a manner as this, actually deters most from even reading them because they don't know the purpose!
Do we have a third bpr?
Or, as some always say, is dollar, snitpickers, etc., back after attending school in the Himalayas? He may have had a complete turnaround of his mission!
Somehow I have a feeling that before the election gets here in November we are going to hear all we possibly can believe and then some about religion, color, heritage, culture, and fear----instead of foreclosures, debt, war, education, infrastructure, taxes, oil, cost of living, health plans, crooks, thieves, corporate plotters and schemers, jobs (real ones--not desks), and many other critical things needing action!

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

John 14:6

The truth is not an idea, a thing or a "take": it is the living Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ and in Him all answers are found.

*** You need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again Hebrews 5:12 ***

This whole finding truth "in" the "living spirit of Jesus Christ" is strange to me. The only thing you ever do is quote the Bible. It seems to me that to find truth in the living spirit of Jesus you would have to do more than read the Bible. In fact it seems that reading the Bible would have nothing to do with it.

It seems a blog is the wrong medium for displaying truths obtained through whatever form of communication you have with Jesus. People here have the funny idea that truth has to be backed up with reason, logic, etc...you know, those secular delusions.

I'm willing to bet everyone here owns a copy of the Bible, thus, we all have a copy of any opinion you could possiblly have and you can save yourself the trouble of quoting it instead of thinking about anything.

...about the meaning of life, or do you just babble out biblical quotes all day? I could get my telephone answering machine to do that.

Just in case you are a sentient being, here's a thought. Without intelligent beings to comprehend the infinite majesty of the universe, God's creation would be meaningless, as God would have no one to share it with. It would be like a Michaelangelo painting that nobody else ever got to see. What would be the point of a universe empty of intelligent life?

God did not create us to babble scripture like an answering machine. He created us to use our brains to experience the wonder of creation, and to share it with each other.

Just a thought.

When people forget how the Bible identifies God, in my opinion, they miss the whole point of the wisdom found in the Bible.

God is Spirit, Life, Truth, Love, Principle, Soul, and Mind. None of these 'words' describe an anthropomorphic being. All living things in 'Gods' creation are here to manifest 'God'. Man, who was given dominion over this creation - is a reflection of 'God'. I love your thought; "He created us to use our brains to experience the wonder of creation, and to share it with others. Thanks River.

Maybe there is no God. It seems agnosticism is the only consistent position to take on the subject. No one can say that a God or Gods exist, but no one can say he/she/it or whatever doesn't exist. No one knows for sure.

Where we all came from is a riddle without an answer, and God doesn't solve that riddle. We obviously didn't come from nothing, but neither did God. We just can't ever know the answer to life's most important question.

Sweet Dreams!

That was pretty poignant. I'd even call it inspired!Smiling
