More County discards for Tyrone

Councilwoman Grace Caldwell apparently wants Tyrone to be the resting place for discards from Fayette County. First she masterminded the ouster of the previous town manager to be replace with the discarded former county manager Chris Venice at a much higher salary. Next Grace masterminded replacing the town attorney with another county discard Bill McNally again at two-three times the costs. Now she is proposing that the Town acquire the existing County’s fire station, that’s the one that has septic problems which with no method to dispose of it sewerage will render the property unusable. It is amazing how when the County practices fiscal responsibility and makes changes to insure that the taxpayers receive a fair return on their tax dollars Grace Caldwell is always waiting in the wings to pick up what the County discards to burden the taxpayers of Tyrone with exorbitant costs. But then isn’t Grace also a County discard?

It is my understanding Barney never had the septic tank drained in all those years! No wonder the system failed. I guess it was just another cost saving engineering wonder like the bails of straw all over town instead of ditches. And yes there is merit to the statement of Gloria Furr that Triagle Park was engineered, or really not engineered, in such a way that the water runs straight down on the fire station.

Grace Caldwell didn't mastermind the ouster of the former town manager. You know full well there were petitions to get rid of Barney and Thelma Lou signed by a number of citizens, as well as everyone having their own personal encounters with the two. No one person got rid of your friend. Just like no one person will be resonsible when you go the same way. It will be because of a mountain of past irresponsible and arrogant actions.

Now that Grace engineered the hiring of Overbill McNally and Golden Parachute Venice, why can't she take on Dunn and Wells and get them out of the County Taxpayers' lives ?
