Main Stream: From Weatherwax: Confessions of a MuddlingSubmitted by Weatherwax on Wed, 08/20/2008 - 1:55am. At the risk of embarrassing poor Muddle, I have a few things to add to the above. Main Stream: Something to Make Y'all SmileMain Stream: Muddle - a passion for teaching"The whole deal (i.e., the only complaint from my employer) was over a (myopic?) perception of my posts on here, and that perception was almost point-for-point the way this person had characterized me in that strategically placed post." Main Stream: Pulling a Tooth With a Golf Cart...only in P'tree City. Way to go Tristan. My 6th grader told me about your youtube video. Love it!! Main Stream: Exposing a Rat (bpr)Bpr actually names muddle's employer in her posts, showing that she knew where he worked. She even mentions the very things that the person, who contacted muddle's employer, complained about: "does ACC have a policy for students and Professors against smoking pot, drinking, making fun of Preachers and Christians, you don't have to go to church, making jokes about other churches, cussing etc." Main Stream: Obama T-shirts: About as "cute" as cancerThis has been all over the AJC and local news about the owner of Mulligan's in Marietta selling a t-shirt with the Curious George monkey character, refrencing 'Obama in '08' The owner says he thinks they are 'cute.' Main Stream: Republicans Continue to Shaft Hard-Working Americans"The Boston Globe recently revealed that two Defense Department contractors operating in Iraq — KBR (Kellogg, Brown and Root/until recently a subsidiary of Cheney's beloved Halliburton) and MPRI — have avoided paying hundreds of millions of dollars in federal Social Security and Medicare taxes by hiring its employees through “shell companies” based in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands Main Stream: Even Republican Chuck Hagel believes it's time for change...The Bush admistration has succeeded in tipping the political scales so far to the right that even those in his own party believe that our country is in need of change. Main Stream: "The Empire Strikes Barack"Main Stream: "My Car Runs on Vegetable Oil"Leave it to the American entrepreneur to wean the U.S. from foreign oil, since past and present administrations have failed to do so. Main Stream: Joke of the DayGeorge Bush, Karl Rove and Condi went on a Deep Sea fishing trip with brother Jeb off the coast of Florida. They invited Dick Cheney and John McCain along....the boat sank. Main Stream: Happy Anniversary, Mr. President......May 1st, marking the 5th anniversary of Bush's memorable "Mission Accomplished" speech on board the USS Abraham Lincoln. Main Stream: Why Does McCain Dislike Sick Children??While the mainstream media dissects every word being uttered by Rev. Wright, McCain continues his 'free ride' with the media. We are being spoon-fed garbage and sound bites from the media during one of the most crucial presidential elections in our modern history and important issues like McCain's voting record on children's healthcare, is completely ignored. Main Stream: Go Outside!Main Stream: McCain/Bush Energy Policy - Shortsighted and Anti-AmericanMcCain's proposal of temporarily removing the gas tax, to provide relief to consumers paying $3.50+/gallon for gas would cost 300,000 jobs and millions of dollars currently directed towards rebuilding our roads and infrastructure. His proposal is shortsighted and does not address the real underlying problem of skyrocketing oil prices occurring due in part because of price collusion by OPEC, in order to keep prices high. Main Stream: Those Crazy Republican's - Happy Bday Hitler!"Tony Zirkle is running for the 2nd District GOP nomination in Indiana. According to WSBT-TV, "Zirkle said he would speak to any group that invites him, and that he admired the American National Socialist Workers Party's concern about 'prostitution of young white women.'" Main Stream: McCain and His Unethical Ties to Developer Donald Diamond"When considering John McCain’s history of unethical behavior, the list usually starts (and ends) with the Keating Five scandal in the 1980s, for which McCain was rebuked by the Senate Ethics Committee for having shown, at a minimum, poor judgment. In the aftermath, McCain helped improve his public image, and bury the scandal, by becoming an advocate of campaign-finance reform. Main Stream: THE REAL MCCAIN - EXPOSEDWhile the press and mainstream media continue to report on Obama's lack of a flag pin on his lapel and Hillary's blue-collar whiskey shots, McCain continues to enjoy a free-ride from the media and he has quickly become the darling of the press corps. So, I went ahead and spent some time researching McSame and found some cool tidbits that are worth mentioning. Topics range from his hatred of veterans, as he continues to vote against vet benefits, to his nasty temper, even towards wife Cindy, and his embrace of an "open border" policy with Mexico - pass the bean dip please! It's no wonder that the blogosphere is all a buzz with what a scary guy McSame is, since the media has dropped the ball regarding reporting anything on this guy. I suppose they're more interested in flag pins and whiskey shots than REAL issues. Main Stream: SB 458 - As Seen in the BlogosphereMain Stream: Anti-Quran Film "Fitna" Pulled From Internet Because of ThreatsI watched the 17 minute Dutch video tonight, although it took me a while to find it on the internet. It seems that the video-hosting site, 'Live Link' pulled the video today due to threats to the staff, of a "serious nature", because of the content of the video, which is highly critical of the Quran and Islam. If ever there was an argument for the Separation of Church and State, this is it, whether it is Islam, Christianity or any religion that strives for a theocratic society. I hope you are able to watch it, before it is pulled from Google, the only site I could find that was hosting the video tonight. And just a warning, it is rather graphic in case you have a weak stomach. Main Stream: Bush Declares Martial Law!Main Stream: Winter Soldier - this weekend (Hack, River, other blog vets?)The "Winter Soldier: Iraq and Afghanistan" is taking place in Washington DC this weekend. Have you had an opportunity to see the Winter Soldier video or DVD? I found a short clip (15+ minutes, link below), however, it gets VERY GRAPHIC **WARNING** about half way through the video. I was going to see this at my UUCA church back in January, however, the snowstorm kept us from traveling up to Atlanta for the viewing that night. Main Stream: Pastor Hagee to Oversee National Weather Service - Yikes!Rumor has it that John McCain, if elected president, will tap John Hagee to oversee the National Weather Service. Pastor Hagee has shown a superhuman ability for predicting and interpreting… the weather! Main Stream: Pentagon Cancels Release of Controversial Iraq Report"WASHINGTON, March 12 — The Pentagon on Wednesday canceled plans for broad public release of a study that found no pre-Iraq war link between late Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and the al Qaida terrorist network. Main Stream: Hello BPR - about your post....Yes, I mentioned Deism in another post (thanks for the link, btw). An interesting characteristic of Deism, that I've found, is that a person doesn't "become" a Deist, you just realize that you are. I hope that makes sense. Main Stream: Bush's Ill-fated Attempt at Spreading DemocracyThe Bush administration's arrogant policy of 'spreading democracy' by invading Iraq, will no doubt require the U.S. to be in that region, in some capacity, for decades to come. His advisors on the Middle East, if he even had any at the time, should have warned him of the deep religious divide between Sunni and Shiite and that attempting to bring them ALL under the umbrella of Democracy, would be futile. Main Stream: Lilly/BPR - you are the same person (your posts)Like I said before, lilly/bpr, I was going to leave this all alone until you called me a liar so here are just some of the similar posts that you've made during the past months, as lilly and bpr. Why the need to put on a charade with everyone, some of whom seemed to be your friends? Sad indeed… Main Stream: ANN COULTER CAMPAIGNING FOR HILLARYI guess miracles really do happen - I'm a believer now. I watched Ann Coulter on Fox News last night.... she said she'll campaign for Hillary, if McCain wins the nomination. The 2008 election is getting very interesting. (BTW - Nitpicker...how do you like Ann Coulter's legs?) Main Stream: The Right-Wing Fringe Attacks - Heath Ledger DeathSo, John Gibson of Fox News pokes fun Main Stream: Chanukah vs. ChristmasI thought I would try and lighten the mood in here with this video clip. (I hope this link works, it's my 1st try). Make sure you watch until the very end... |
