Why Does McCain Dislike Sick Children??

Main Stream's picture

While the mainstream media dissects every word being uttered by Rev. Wright, McCain continues his 'free ride' with the media. We are being spoon-fed garbage and sound bites from the media during one of the most crucial presidential elections in our modern history and important issues like McCain's voting record on children's healthcare, is completely ignored.

"McCain Kicks Off Health Care Tour At Children’s Hospital That Supported 'State Insurance Health Program' (SCHIP) Expansion He Opposed

Kicking off his “Call to Action Tour” today, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) toured Miami Children’s Hospital, where he “met and listened to some of its young patients and their parents.” In remarks delivered at the hospital, McCain pledged that he would “work to eliminate the worries over the availability and cost of health care”

McCain’s use of the Florida children’s hospital to launch his health care-focused tour is ironic considering McCain’s recent vote against expanding the State Children’s Health Insurance Program. The expansion that McCain opposed would have extended coverage to a significant portion of Florida’s 658,000 uninsured children."

CALL TO ACTION TOUR - NO HEALTHCARE FOR YOU!

CHILDREN'S HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM - MCCAIN OPPOSES

SENATE ROLL CALL VOTE - MCCAIN VOTES NO, OBAMA AND CLINTON VOTE YES

(btw - the bill passed, but it was vetoed by Bush. This must be the Republican version of 'compassionate conservatism')

Wow. Impressive. B-HO actually took a position instead of voting "present"

Of course, what he voted on was to take money from someone who earned it and hand it over to someone who didn't.

Typical socialist policy.

Barack Obama is the personification of a wolf in sheep's clothing.

"Of course, what he voted on was to take money from someone who earned it and hand it over to someone who didn't."

Uninsured children would have been the recipients, if this bill had not been vetoed by Bush. And McCain showed his true colors by voting against the bill, along with many of his fellow "compassionate conservatives."

It continues to amaze me, that when it comes to children, babies and the unborn, conservatives only care about the unborn fetuses, and not living, breathing children in need of healthcare.

What do you carea about uninsured kids if you support abortion?

People are figuring out about this wonderful healthcare and they don't like it. You Main Stream will be taxed about another 2 thousand dollars a year for it.

"What do you carea about uninsured kids if you support abortion?"

I'll leave this question to my fellow Dem's to answer, as I find you repulsive and too dense for me to respond to you anymore.

You continue to post like an idiot and I won't waste my time.

Your a Dem. so answer the question. You can't because it's true. Just answer the question.

What about all the babies Planned Parenthood kills read my post about that and tell me what you think.

Yeah, I want Obama to stop that with all of his Dem. friends in office from killing those babies.

I totally agree with Carbonunit & Main Stream - you really do lower everyone's IQ who reads your posts. Being a proud Democrat who does not support abortion - gasp! - doesn't mean I, nor anyone, has to answer to YOU just because you demand answers to your incoherent postings or your cut & paste novellas that you proudly copy from Denise. YOU never answer or have a rebuttal to anyone who challenges you with a question.

If you really are a teacher, and I highly doubt you have a teaching certificate, plus school teachers have to be in school well before you quit posting in the mornings saying you have to go to work, you should know the way you use the word YOUR is a contraction for "you are" and is spelled "you're."

Since, I have never posted to you before????????? Excuse me for the mistake. I type fast. Sorry about that also.

I have to be at work at 8 if that is any of your business. I do have a teaching certificate, I don't have anything to prove to you just my employer.

I find it strange for you to call me beeper, several have done that, do you know Main?????? BTW it's BPR, or you won't get a response next time.

Your insults don't matter to me, I was addressing Main.

Now, daisyheadmaisy? Have a nice day, it's too nice to make it a bad day.

There is obviously nothing to be gained. I was going to a few times, but I felt my IQ dropping every time I started to and I am sure that all of the conservatives will agree that I cannot afford that.

is one of the reasons I created this moniker. I just couldn't stand to read her drivel without pointing out what absolute nonsense she spouts.
However, I have found when she gets completely out of hand, just call her beeper, and she pouts and hushes up. No clue why exactly, but it works.

Main called me beeper, because I am friends with Sky. I won't reply to Main's plus ???? I don't repond to name calling.

No pouting here, you will respect me or no reply.

Have a nice evening.

There's alot I could say about respect.

You just stay with you friend Main(?) and Sniffles. Sorry, I hurt you over your main friends.

How did you ever teach school if you didn't see value in a person? Part of that is respect. How did you teach the kids caring, understanding, giving and going the extra mile- I guess it not taught in upper grades, because I see alot of it lacking in older kids.

Yes, Parents should teach it also, but a good teacher does also.

I ask you and your good friend sick of facist answers? I look at your list of friends and I guess since I am not a Democrat and I am not their friend, I don't have your respect.

Don't worry your comment does not bother me, I have a list longer than you could think of people that respect me, and they don't do name calling like your friends on here. They have very good morals and value systems which is my goal in life regardless of what you and your main friends on here think. BTW you wanted a transfer.

It's sad. You are so tolerate of their faults but not mine. What was that word respect? Is it a different definition for your main friends.

A good teacher allows for tolerance, not for only certain people but for all. People should allow for tolerance, just not only their views.

When I try and talk to your friends, I get snapped at? I don't agree with them they don't know how to be civil and respectful. I don't expect you to teach it to them after your remark.

Yes, Yardman respect is earned.

I was waiting to see which main friend got on next to attack me. Sick of facist is off then that's the way it works, another will come on. Maybe not since I am on.

Not worth my time, I think it's sad when others think higher of himself when they don't do what what they say.

We are known by the company we keep.

Poor Obama trying to save himself at the last second, since Mr. Wright said some things that will hurt him. We will have to see if his scheme works. Respect? Does he not respect Mr. Wright and all the other ones? Maybe it will work in time.Laughing out loud

Respect?

merely taking some time to think about how to phrase what I want to say. Think before you speak, you know Eye-wink

Anyone who has spent any time here knows already that I seldom bring up my history to justify my arguments or points of view. Yes, there are glimpses of who and what I am and what I stand for, but those come irregularly and infrequently. It would be relatively easy to use credentials as a club. I have gotten more than my share of awards over 30 years in four states; teacher of the year, outstanding educator, appointment to Governor's Council on the Social Studies, etc. To me, those are not that meaningful. They do not define me and, while appreciated, they do not form me as an educator. Engaged students and inquisitive minds are what I am most proud of.

This brings me to the entire point of my post. There are plenty of things about which I have no knowledge. I might have opinions on these things, but those opinions are not set in stone, and are open to re-evaluation when someone gives me new information or something I had not considered before. Education is not included in that, since I have experience, the genetics (mother and both grandmothers were teachers, as was great grandfather), and a predisposition to learning. While I am constantly called on to re-evlauate what I do, I know that is part of the process.

The reason it took so long to reply is that I was trying to figure out just what YOU bring to the educational table, other than being a parent. I tried to understand YOUR credentials and what YOU could reveal to me about education that I have not considered before. And you know what I came up with? Actually it was a question: Who are you to lecture me on how to be an effective teacher? What successes have you had that allow you to be able to tell others how to educate?

I could go on and on about what I do in a classroom to make every student feel special and important, but what would be the use? You aren't interested in that, you already know all you need to know about me and how I operate. And as for my RESPECT...I give it to those who I feel deserve it (including a vast majority of students I have ever taught). So have at it, beepers, Keep the faith.

Democracy is not a spectator sport.

Can't all of you grow up and stop the name calling, your not in the 3rd grade.

Express yourself through vocabulary, in Maine's case I guess she chose to do name calling and you did also.

Lame Stream

I have no problem ensuring children have coverage, but I need to understand why they don't have it in the first place. Is it because mommy and daddy would rather spend money on crack and rims than for healthcare, or does the need actually exist.

Dems are only generous when they are giving away someone else's money, so take your bleeding heart whining somewhere else and tell it to someone who gives a rip.

"...so take your bleeding heart whining somewhere else and tell it to someone who gives a rip."

this is remarkable, coming from a person who claims to be religious, and a Christian, right?

I, on the other hand, am agnostic bordering on atheist, and I am the one who is demanding more compassion and empathy from our government.

Go figure.

Poor Main Stream has been the only one that has had a hard time in life.

Little does she know my sister's condition we did not have insurance at that time and I don't know if my parents ever got the bills paid off, I will have to ask my Dad next time I see him.

Have I ever been uninsured? I have, both myself and husband, then when I had my son we were in the middle of changing job, that 3 months time limit, well Beaver God took care of that. The President of the company where my husband works went to the owners and explained that I had been trying to have a baby for 11 years and now I was going to have one. Guess what they covered everything.

Other times in my life I have been uninsured, so I do know. Wow, someone else with that same situation.

I don't buy into Obama's health care, one of the many reasons I will not vote for him.
