McCain/Bush Energy Policy - Shortsighted and Anti-American

Main Stream's picture

McCain's proposal of temporarily removing the gas tax, to provide relief to consumers paying $3.50+/gallon for gas would cost 300,000 jobs and millions of dollars currently directed towards rebuilding our roads and infrastructure. His proposal is shortsighted and does not address the real underlying problem of skyrocketing oil prices occurring due in part because of price collusion by OPEC, in order to keep prices high.

But President Bush has the means to do something, but will NOT, because he does not want to rock-the-boat with his Saudi buddies or hurt his pals in the oil industry, or close the Enron loophole.

Continue to vote Republican and they'll continue to stab us all in the back.

MCCAIN'S SHORTSIGHTED PROPOSAL (HE STILL DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THE ECONOMY)

BUSH WON'T DO A THING TO CURB RISING OIL PRICES (BUT HE COULD)
