S. Lindsey: Dems vote to stop General McChyrstal from testifying to CongressSeems like they "Just can't handle the truth".. Obama just wants to think about it a little longer and the Dems in Congress want to make sure General McChrystal just Salutes and shuts up.. Ruth Kimble: XRuth Kimble: Benjamin Franklin's "end of the republic"“When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.” Bonkers: SPLOST Vote: just rememberedSplost votes are always done on off-year elections so that the voting will be low. However, all those who benefit from the SPLOST will vote, in an organized manner (schools, oficials, etc.) S. Lindsey: Demise of the Dollar"The Independent (UK) is reporting that Arab states are in talks to work towards the end of using US currency for oil trading. Especially troubling when this movement is coupled with the Obama global apology tour and the UN's call for a new global reserve currency. The rest of the globe is making a power play, and they are trying to knock us down a peg or two...or ten." Main Stream: Conservatizing the BibleAccording to the wingnuts at Conservapedia "Liberal bias has become the single biggest distortion in modern Bible translations." The Conservative Bible Project, led by the Schlafly clan (Phyllis and son Andy) involves re-translating the Bible to remove "corruption by liberal bias" and the "emasculation of Christianity" and to explain "the numerous economic parables with their full free-market meaning" Joe Kawfi: The new missiles of OctoberBy: Newt Gingrich eodnnaenaj1: Learn something new every day -In reading my hometown newspaper this morning I found this help wanted ad: Help Wanted CUSTOM MANURE pumping business looking for qualified operators. (217)430-0665 Fyt35: Sandy Creek footballSandy Creek put an impressive show last Friday night as the Patriots handily defeated the Wildcats. Many of us are still at awe of how good this football team is and certainly wish them well as the season continues. Unfortunately, what happened after the game was reprehensible and by far tops anything that has happened around here relating to school rivalries. hutch866: National AnthemSaw this first on Facebook, one of the best renditions I've heard in a long time, by the youngest people I've ever heard ethanallen: Free Design Workshop for CommunityPlease join us for refreshments, gift bags, door prizes and endless advice! Way to goJonBoat: Lake PeachtreeHey Don Haddix, you said earlier this year the City was doing test on the lake. What were the results? I've noticed a greenish film on the water lately. S. Lindsey: Bush responcible for Obama's failure in Copenhagen"Senator Rowland Burris of Illinois, the Senator who was appointed to fill President Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat, blames George Bush for Chicago not getting the Olympics in 2016. Burris stated in an interview, shortly after the announcement, that the image of the U. S. has been so tarnished in the last 8 years that, even Barack Obama making an unprecedented pitch for the games could not overcome the hatred the world has for us as a result of George Bush." purpletulips: Do you understand your school system? Most residents who have an interest in their child’s education do not understand the inner workings of their local school system. The state of Georgia mandates a state school curriculum; The Georgia Performance Standards; goals for each grade level. Each teacher is required to use and implement the GPS. Every subject and grade level from kindergarten to 12th grade is addressed in the GPS; Language Arts, Reading, Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, Health, Technology, etc…. There are lesson plans and assessment suggestions for each grade level and for each strand of the standards. These standards can be found on the internet at: www.georgiastandards.org. Somethingswrong: The Detail Store Car WashI have never blogged before but read your comments daily. I have experienced something, that I felt should be passed on to Fayette County consumers and to ask your opinion as to where to go next. Git Real: Maxwells - Outstanding EatsDid the Maxwells thing last night and the food was outstanding and the service was not lacking in anyway. Had the lamb racks and crab soup. The crab soup was great but it didn't contain the lumps I've gotten spoiled with when eating Charleston. But overall this was a really great place to eat and we really considered it a treat. normal: Hooray for UAW, It helped destroy SaturnBut make no mistake: The failure here isn't Mr. Penske's. Saturn was killed by its creators, GM and the UAW. The company starved Saturn for new products, and the union waged war against Saturn's labor reforms to keep them from spreading to other GM factories. eodnnaenaj1: My yahoomail is crazy! So to the folks I met today, I just wanted to say it was a pleasure to finally meet you and spend time talking, we will Newsboy: MORE CITIZEN BLOGGER STUPIDITYObama haters giddy with glee over Chicago's failed bid to host the 2016 Games no doubt will now demand that the federal taxpayer be 'refunded' for his trip to Coppenhagen, but the fact remains: If a president's duty includes promoting the nation's best interests in the rest of the world (and by any definition, hosting the Olympic Games is in the nation's best interest), how was this trip different than one to attend an economic summit, woo a foreign auto maker, etc? Obama was doing his job. They don't break down the individual costs incurred to run the executive branch on such a basis anyway. The Prince: Peachtree City ElectionWhat are the early predictions? Simply based on signs I'd say: Mayor: Scott Rowland Post 1: I saw one Beth sign and two Barker signs, so I guess it is still up for grabs. S. Lindsey: Iran having Nukes .. UnderstandableJimmy Carter is at it again.. "If Iran is on the borderline, the constant threats that we or the Israelis are going to attack Iran is the best thing to force them to say, 'Let's defend ourselves." kevin king: Greetings fellow bloggers: Protect your private information on this website. As many of you know, a blogger attempted to "Muddle" me a year and a half ago by providing my superiors with content I authored on this blog. Not happy with the results of their efforts, they have apparently upped the ante. Patriotdad: Thanks to a kind young man...Wednesday night around 10:00pm my wife and I were on our way back from BJ's Wholesale with a load of Gatorade for our Youth League games on Saturday. When I made the turn from 54 onto 74 the load shifted and half my pallette of Gatorade fell into the street. Peter Hoekstra and Rep. John Shadegg Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal's new report on Afghanistan discusses the complex environment in Afghanistan and highlights the difficult decisions that need to be taken to win. Missing from the growing debate over the McChrystal report is the importance of obtaining excellent intelligence to manage the risk to our troops and to ultimately succeed. Cyclist: Hollywood's support of Roman Polanski....is just one of the reasons why I'm very suspicious of that group. The actress Whoopi Goldberg said: “I don’t believe it was rape-rape. douknow: Safety and Training- Seriously?Wow!!
