The Detail Store Car WashI have never blogged before but read your comments daily. I have experienced something, that I felt should be passed on to Fayette County consumers and to ask your opinion as to where to go next. I took my car in for washing and cleaning to the Detail Store on Crosstown Rd. As per usually the owner is grumpy and not thankful for my business when I pay the bill, which included air freshening this time. When I left, and went to my next establishment I realized that the air freshener was not added, and as I returned to the car, I noticed it was filthy in the front. I called the owner immediately, who gruffly once again with me who suggested that he was closing up now, but come back tomorrow. The next day, I arrived, and this grumpy owner was walking towards the wash place. I noticed him and asked "Sir, are you heading inside?" He proceeded to not look my way, just point a finger up to state in a minute. I went inside. He grumpily asked me where my keys were. I advised him they were in the car, and he turned immediately away. I said "wait" I paid for air freshener that I did not get. He grabbed my copy and proceeded to state; no you didn't, but then noticed I did. Without saying one word, he turned to get into my car. I then walked out as he was pointing out the front only for the washer employee to spray and then dry. I came up to the owner and stated that I noticed more areas not clean. He was bent down, so I bent down to point below the door. He could not see the dirt and proceeded to tell me that it was paint. I bent lower, and we bumped heads. He just very rudely stated that I was in his light and to move it. I proceeded to tell him "I will not come back here anymore, that he has been very rude to me." He threw down his hands and walked away from me not saying a word, just grumpy looking. I proceeded to work with the employee washer who spoke no English. No employees out there could speak English. And he got it done. In my opinion, the car should have been re-washed entirely and at the very least, stated that he was sorry for my inconvience. I will never use this car wash establishment ever again. It is a shame as we have 4 cars that need washing periodically, and I have used this establishment for these cars for the past few years as I live in the area. Ever since the car wash place closed by Fisher Rd area. Although I have encountered this grumpy, non communitive, unfriendly owner on several occasions, I let that go in the past. I can no longer do that! Especially in this economy and how I was treated, due to there error. My family has resided in Fayette County for 29 years, we try to stay faithful with local small town mom & pop establishments, so they can earn a decent living for their family and to keep them in business. Where is there a decent car wash detailing place to go around here now? I would like recommendations please! We are people that need help in this as we have health issues. I will go into Newnan or up to North Fayette County. Or is it better for the economy to have those waterless car company come to my home. Please help! Somethingswrong's blog | login to post comments |
