Bonkers: Mayor HaddixEven less people will vote in the re-vote, so Haddix only needed 274 more votes to have 51%. Now if a catastrophe happens---no one votes much, anything could happen, but that is not likely. Elfie: Support for Lt. Daniel BerschinskiAs you may know, Dan Berschinski, Eagle Scout from Peachtree City Troop 175, McIntosh High School graduate of 2002, and West Point grad of 2007 was very severely wounded in Afghanistan in August. Quoting from a report: The Crime Dog: Attention you W.F. bypass opponents!Lo these many years while you have enjoyed the rural Fayette lifestyle, guess who has subsidized it? Us city folk and city business owners, that's who!!! Bonkers: No SPLOST: what to doSince only about 15-20% of eligible citizens voted in the SPLOST vote, it is hard to say what it means that it failed so badly. Tug13: Congratulations Paul Oddo!!Happy to know you are re-elected. You, Mickey Edwards & Ms. Hawkins ran a "class act" campaigh! Tug:) Joe Kawfi: Stimulus SpendingHas anyone else noticed the signs along Hwy 314 in Fayetteville that proclaim that there is some sort of project going on paid for with "stimulus" money that was provided by American taxpayers? hutch866: Cycle Ride For TaylorTaylor's Ride and Chili Cook-off! S. Lindsey: Obama waste 13 Billion and creates another non-solutionYucca Mountain.. America's site for depositing our Nuclear Waste. For 25 YEARS we have been building this site as a SOLUTION to a serious issue.. We have been paying for this site for 25 YEARS.. It is ready. Steve Brown: Steve Brown: Election in Peachtree CityIt has been a couple of interesting months of campaigning by the various candidates. For the most part, the candidates have been issues oriented. S. Lindsey: ACORN now fully funded w/ 5.5 BILLION of our Tax DollarsDoes anyone really believe this is right? While we were distracted with the Healthcare "debate" they slipped this little funding bill in the DEFENSE bill. meanoldconservatives: Atlanta Campaign AdsHmmmm, wonder what the message is from those last minute ads for Atlanta mayor? They've played for the last week or so and all during the news tonight. muddle: "Urgent" Dog Adoptions, Anyone? My family and I visited the Coweta Animal Control shelter this afternoon. One of the those we hope to adopt is actually scheduled to be euthanized if not adopted by tomorrow, 11/3. Bonkers: 22,000,000 people need a jobMany others need a better paying job. (any family under 40,000 per year) There are those (Boehner, for instance) who say that Obama promised 8% unemployment and it is near 10%, so he failed. Had all of eight months and failed. 30yrFville: Fayetteville-Mickey Edwards post 4It is amazing that a candidate who asks for our trust and confidence can’t or won’t comply with the laws of the State Ethics Commission. It seems that Mr. Edwards has not bothered to itemize his expenditures for either this election or the last one according the the other (subscription) newspaper. He listed that he has spent to date $5189 and with all the newspaper adds that he has run since the report deadline and when that newspaper reported this, it will likely be much more! All paid for by the candidate! If you look at what the paper said he spent two years ago the last time he ran and assume he will spend at least that amount then he has spent over $20,000 of his own money to "get" a council seat. Why would he spend $20,000?? something smells! Either he just didn't want to list his contributors he may want to change the sign ordinance and Land Use Plan (interviw Fayette News 9-3-09). Joe Kawfi: Obama Criticism Flow ChartThis flow chart will help opponents of Obama's plan to turn our country into a Socialist nirvana determine if they are racist or not. Bonkers: Article about Limbaugh, The entertainer. An article in the AJC newspaper said that Limbaugh said Obama was way over his head with the job of President--that he was naive, ignorant, and really destroying the USA. Bonkers: Largest Factoring Company broke!Well, we are not going to get our TARP billions back from CIT Group, a large business factoring money house--they are Chapter 11. Also stockholders will get nothing for stock owned. Red: West by Pass, Phase 3West by Pass-Phase 3 Red: West by Pass, Phase 3West by Pass-Phase 3 Red: Next weeks footballSandy Creek, Congradulations on a great season. But don't buy your tickets to the dome yet. Remember one game at a time. Joe Kawfi: The Single Payer BunchA must see video which shows what the Obama administration is attempting to put over on We The People. Spear Road Guy: Election Results You Can Take To The BankSPLOST - loser Rowland - loser Barker - big loser Craig - loser Boone - big loser Learnard - loser Fleisch - close loser Bonkers: How vicious will it get?I think already we are seeing the types of robbery that are directly caused by a lack of jobs and pay. S. Lindsey: Only 2% of Americans will be covered.. CBO reportsLet me get this straight.. We are spending at least 1 TRILLION, probably much, much higher, to cover just 2% of the "Uninsured"??? S. Lindsey: Gas has gone up.. Has anyone noticed? Why? Gas supplies are up.. Boutique fuels are no longer the issue.. No storms in the Gulf knocking out drilling platforms... Git Real: Hillary Clinton Unleashed“The percentage of taxes on GDP (in Pakistan) is among the lowest in the world...We (the United States) tax everything that moves and doesn’t move, and that’s not what we see in Pakistan,” Clinton said. birdman: 28 Police cars close Hwy 74 at Georgian ParkwayLast night (Oct. 30) around 8:30 pm approximately 28 police cars from PTC, Fayette, and Coweta raced down 74 and closed the Hwy at Georgian Parkway. TinCan: OK, back to some lighter stuffTinCan: Here come da judgeArf: SPLOSTIn my work, I talk to people everyday who are struggling with an economic downturn that has affected their lives negatively. Many people right here in Fayette county have suddenly and unexpectedly found themselves facing financial difficulties. Many are out of work, many are grasping on to withering retirement plans, many have seen investments go sour and many have recently experienced unplanned circumstances that have caused them to tighten their belts more and more. Out of money, out of plans, out of answers, and almost out of hope. |
