Now if a catastrophe happens---no one votes much, anything could happen, but that is not likely.

My family and I visited the Coweta Animal Control shelter this afternoon. One of the those we hope to adopt is actually scheduled to be euthanized if not adopted by tomorrow, 11/3.

It seems that Mr. Edwards has not bothered to itemize his expenditures for either this election or the last one according the the other (subscription) newspaper. He listed that he has spent to date $5189 and with all the newspaper adds that he has run since the report deadline and when that newspaper reported this, it will likely be much more! All paid for by the candidate! If you look at what the paper said he spent two years ago the last time he ran and assume he will spend at least that amount then he has spent over $20,000 of his own money to "get" a council seat. Why would he spend $20,000?? something smells! Either he just didn't want to list his contributors he may want to change the sign ordinance and Land Use Plan (interviw Fayette News 9-3-09).

I think already we are seeing the types of robbery that are directly caused by a lack of jobs and pay.
Not so much yet in Fayette County due to many of these people who are out of good work having a 401-k that isn't completely exhausted by the market plunge from 15,000 and the fact that unemployment compensation has been extended three times (enough for food and absolute essentials only).

Let me get this straight.. We are spending at least 1 TRILLION, probably much, much higher, to cover just 2% of the "Uninsured"???

In my work, I talk to people everyday who are struggling with an economic downturn that has affected their lives negatively. Many people right here in Fayette county have suddenly and unexpectedly found themselves facing financial difficulties. Many are out of work, many are grasping on to withering retirement plans, many have seen investments go sour and many have recently experienced unplanned circumstances that have caused them to tighten their belts more and more. Out of money, out of plans, out of answers, and almost out of hope.
