Soccer teams get W’s in slow weekIt was a relatively slow week in soccer, thus far, with not every team playing. Starr’s Mill’s boys (7-1-3), ranked second in AAAA, got a 4-0 win over Northside, Columbus on Tuesday night. Gray Phelps scored two goals and Chris Capati and Colin Mallon each had a goal and an assist. They will host Northgate at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lady Panthers (6-2-1), ranked fifth, will take on Northgate, ranked 10th, next Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Roller hockey teams participate in 2 Hot 4 Ice tournamentPeachtree City was well represented at the 2 HOT 4 ICE Roller Hockey Tournament at SGAA in Snellville. For the very first time, Peachtree City had the 8U Warriors team enter a tournament. The team only had 2 practices together before this event. There was another first for the 8U players. It was also the first time they had ever played on a full rink. McIntosh girls and boys tennis teams off to good startThe McIntosh Lady Chiefs are well on their way to another successful season boasting two tournament championships, two big wins over a local rival and a #1 regional ranking. The girls are undefeated in the region with a 13-0 record. Teams run at Coaches’ meet at Georgia TechSeveral local schools participated in the annual Coaches’ Invitational meet at Georgia Tech last Saturday with a number of athletes getting top 10 finishes. Tiger team eanrs medals at tournament at Shorter CollegeTiger Martial Arts sent a team to the U.T.A. National Martial Arts Open Championship at Shorter College on March 10. The team returned with eight first place finishes, five second place finishes and two third place finishes. Home Plate ChiliDogs win S. Gwinnett Shootout
The 2007 9U Home Plate Chili Dogs played in the South Gwinnett Shootout on March 3-4 and went 4-0 winning the championship.

The Starr's Mill Lady Panthers defeated Fayette County's Lady Tigers 11-0 on Tuesday night. Carlie Banks had four goals in the win, while Laura McCalla added three Katrina Frost added two and Olivia Serbun and Shannon Hall each had one. The boys game was much closer with Starr's Mill winning 3-0 and scoring all three goals in the second half. Colin Mallon scored the first goal, Chris Capati scored just over a minute later and Gray Phelps scored the third and final goal, off of a bicycle kick with just over 11 minutes left in the game.

They defeated Hebron Christian 47-25 on Saturday and were led by 23 points from Christian Hunnicutt.
