Justin Carpenter went the distance for the Wildcats and a large part of the offense came from homeruns from Heine Rivera’s three run shot and a two run home run from Travis Dingler. Coach Frank Dixon stated that pitching and great team defense made the difference in the win. “Ryan Johnson and Josh Henley played great and there was just a fantastic display of defense by our second baseman Josh Petty,” Dixon said. He also praised Carpenter’s performance, stating his belief that it was one of his best games. The Chiefs entered the game on a two game winning streak. They defeated Eagle’s Landing 14-2 on Thursday. Brent Hardy was the winning pitcher and Aaron Brutcher pitched three innings.
