COS to present ‘The Chosen Garment’ Nov. 11
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will offer a special presentation in worship, “The Chosen Garment,” Sunday, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m. Steven Mosley, an award-winning author, producer and scriptwriter, will perform “The Chosen Garment,” a live dramatic presentation, taking people on a whirlwind tour of the Bible that is both humorous and moving. A cookie and punch reception will follow the service. The church is on the corner of Ga. Hwy. 54 and Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City.

Father David Epps, pastor of Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church, will be consecrated as a bishop in the International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church (ICCEC) on Friday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. The service will be conducted in the sanctuary of Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, Highway 54, Peachtree City.

Square Foot Ministry in Fayetteville took a group of over 300 volunteers to Pass Christian, Miss., Oct. 10 - 14. During the weekend, the group raised the walls on nine houses as part of its first Mega Build to assist people in the area devastated by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005.

Beginning in November, Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City will host Rainbows, a program for that fosters emotional healing for grieving children of elementary and middle school age.

Members of Edgefield Baptist Church in Fayetteville invite the community to join them Saturday, Oct. 27 at 8:30 a.m. for the Shirley Thomas Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. Dan McFarlin on Saturday and Judge Quillian Baldwin on Sunday. On Saturday a light supper will be served at 6 p.m. with the service following at 7 p.m. On Sunday, the Rev. Sally Oakes will speak at the 10:55 a.m. service.
