Bethany UMC plans revival Oct. 20, 21
Bethany United Methodist Church in north Fayette County will have a revival Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 20 and 21, featuring special guest speakers the Rev. Dan McFarlin on Saturday and Judge Quillian Baldwin on Sunday. On Saturday a light supper will be served at 6 p.m. with the service following at 7 p.m. On Sunday, the Rev. Sally Oakes will speak at the 10:55 a.m. service. At 6 p.m., finger food will be available with the church service following at 7 p.m. Bethany is on the corner of Lee’s Lake Road and Rivers Road (Milam Road) in north Fayette County.

Russian music to be presented at FFUMC concert
The Fayetteville First United Methodist church will host the Southern Crescent Symphony Orchestra in a concert of “great Russian masterpieces” this Sunday, Oct. 21, beginning at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and $5 for children ages 6 - 12. Children under age 6 are admitted free. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Fayetteville First UMC is on Lanier Ave. (Ga. Hwy. 54) across the street from the old Fayette County Courthouse.

PTCUMC schedules special GriefShare session
A special GriefShare gathering called “Handling Grief through the Holidays” will be offered at Peachtree City United Methodist Church on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. To reserve a place and receive a booklet that will be discussed in the gathering, contact the church, 770-487-6499. Following the GriefShare gathering, the PTCUMC pastors, led by the Rev. Edgefield Baptist will host breast cancer walk
Members of Edgefield Baptist Church in Fayetteville invite the community to join them Saturday, Oct. 27 at 8:30 a.m. for the Shirley Thomas Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. Warmups start at 8:30 a.m. and the walk will begin at 9 a.m. A rally will be held immediately after the walk. Registration fee is $20 or more donation for each adult participant. Harp’s Crossing plans Harvest Celebration
Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church will have its free annual Harp’s Harvest Celebration Saturday, Oct. 27, from 5-8 p.m. The event will feature a variety of games and prizes, as well as hair coloring, face painting, cotton candy and popcorn, hot dogs and hamburgers, a car show and health check. Scary costumes are discouraged. The church is at 1183 Ga. Hwy. 92 South, Fayetteville.

Lighthouse plans Trunk or Treat Oct. 28
The Lighthouse Church will host a community wide Trunk or Treat celebration Sunday, Oct. 28 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. in the McIntosh High School parking lot (in front of the gym). All ages are welcome to join in costume as children trick or treat from car trunks. The Lighthouse Church worships at McIntosh High School in the theater. Southern Crescent plans “Heroes Unmasked”
Members of the Southern Crescent Church of Christ invite kids to their “Heroes Unmasked” fall festival Sunday, Oct. 28, from 3-7 p.m. Heroes Unmasked is an all fun, no fear Bible adventure. Children and their families will encounter costumed Bible hero actors, play more than a dozen carnival games, decorate cookies to take home, do crafts, and take home Bible Hero cards to trade and treasure.
