Edgefield Baptist will host breast cancer walk
Members of Edgefield Baptist Church in Fayetteville invite the community to join them Saturday, Oct. 27 at 8:30 a.m. for the Shirley Thomas Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. Warmups start at 8:30 a.m. and the walk will begin promptly at 9 a.m. A rally will be held immediately after the walk. Registration: Each adult participant $20 or more donation. Heritage Christian hosts grand opening
Heritage Christian Church will host its grand opening of the new Worship and Children’s Ministry Center on two consecutive weekends, Oct. 27 and 28 and Nov. 3 and 4. American Idol finalist Paris Bennett will perform Oct. 27 and 28, and Rod Snow will entertain with his chalk art and ventriloquist show from 3 to 5 p.m. Nov 4. Harp’s Crossing plans Harvest Celebration
Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church will have its free annual Harp’s Harvest Celebration Saturday, Oct. 27, from 5-8 p.m. The event will feature a variety of games and prizes, as well as hair coloring, face painting, cotton candy and popcorn, hot dogs and hamburgers, a car show and health check. Scary costumes will not be permitted. The church is at 1183 Ga. Hwy. 92 South, Fayetteville.

Inman will have Trunk or Treat Oct. 27
Inman United Methodist Church will have its Trunk or Treat Saturday, Oct. 27, from 5-9 p.m., at the Minter Farm east of the church on Hills Bridge Road. The event will feature games, food, treats and fun for all. For more information, call 770-461-2123.

The Lighthouse Church will host a community wide Trunk or Treat celebration Sunday, Oct. 28 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. in the McIntosh High School parking lot (in front of the gym). Southern Crescent plans ‘Heroes Unmasked’
Members of the Southern Crescent Church of Christ invite kids to their “Heroes Unmasked” fall festival Sunday, Oct. 28, from 3-7 p.m. Heroes Unmasked is an all fun, no fear Bible adventure. Children and their families will encounter costumed Bible hero actors, play more than a dozen carnival games, decorate cookies to take home, do crafts, and take home Bible Hero cards to trade and treasure. On Sunday, Oct. 28 from 5-7 p.m. Hopewell UMYF will host a Trunk-or-Treat Festival featuring games, activities, trunk-or-treating and a costume contest at 6 p.m. Hopewell is at 351 Jenkins Road, Tyrone (across the street from Sandy Creek High School).

FFUMC’s Fall Festival is this Sunday
Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have a Fall Festival this Sunday, Oct. 28, from 4-7 p.m., featuring games and prizes, trunk or treat, a cake walk, and a meal. The church is on Lanier Avenue (Ga. Hwy. 54) across from the old Fayette County Courthouse.

Liberty Baptist plans Fall Festival Oct. 31
Liberty Baptist Church will host a free community fall festival, Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 6 - 8:30 p.m. There will be hotdogs, snow cones, popcorn, boiled peanuts, cake walk, hayride and fun jumps.
