Dogwood women to host banquet Friday
Radiance, the women’s ministry at Dogwood Church, will host a Christmas banquet, “Come, You Are Invited,” on Nov. 2 at 6:30 p.m. in the Dogwood Church auditorium. The guest speaker will be Dianne Parker. Dinner and dessert will be served.Tickets are $15 per person. Enjoy Bethany’s Perlieu Stew this Saturday
Members of Bethany United Methodist Church will offer their traditional Perlieu Stew, serving from noon until all stew is sold out on Saturday, Nov. 3. Plates for adults will be $8; plates for children, $5. Pints of stew are $6; quarts are $10. Bethany is on the corner of Lee’s Lake Road and Rivers Road in north Fayette County.

Holy Trinity Scouts will hold pine straw sales
Holy Trinity Catholic Church’s Boy Scout Troop 479 will have its first Pine Straw Fundraiser Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 3 and 4, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at McIntosh High School in Peachtree City. First Presbyterian PTC plans Harvest Homecoming
First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City will have its Harvest Homecoming Sunday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. The event will feature hay rides, carnival games, a pie-eating contest and announcement of winners of the Painted Pumpkin Contest. PTC First Presbyterian Church is in the heart of Peachtree City at 206 Willowbend Rd.

PTCUMC offers two flu shot opportunities
Flu and pneumonia immunizations for adults will be available Sunday, Nov. 4, from 2-4 p.m. in room 308 and Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 8 a.m. until noon in room 100 at Peachtree City United Methodist Church, 225 Robinson Rd. The cost is $30 for flu immunizations and $40 for pneumonia immunizations. Medicare and Aetna Insurance will be accepted with proper identification. No reservations are necessary. Sandy Creek Baptist celebrates 125 years

AARP 55 Alive classes available at FPC
Fayette Presbyterian Church on Ga. Hwy. 92 North will sponsor the Driver Safety program (AARP 55 Alive) classes Tuesday, Nov. 13 and Thursday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. After completing the class, participants will receive a certificate that could result in a discount on auto insurance. The youth department of Mt.
