The Knights of Columbus at Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Newnan are getting ready for their annual barbecue set for this Saturday, Oct. 27, from noon until 7 p.m. Individual meals cost $8 and guests may dine in or drive through at the church, 3 Village Road south of Thomas Crossroads. The church is immediately behind the almost-finished library off Ebenezer Road, just past the fire station. Mark Breyne, Grand Knight, and Jim Vaughn are wrapping up the details as the day approaches. The Knights’ charity barbecue is their major fund raiser to assist in their community philanthropic efforts. Bulk sales are available with barbecue going for $9 per pound and Brunswick stew will sell for $6.50 a quart. Free delivery is provided with the purchase of 5 or more meals. Ticket information is available online at bar-b-q@charter.net or by contacting Vaughn at 770-2549520 or Breyne at 770-253-8970. login to post comments |
