Highway 74 in Tyrone left the highway blocked for about five hours Monday afternoon. A car crashed into support poles for traffic lights at the intersection of Hwy. 74 and Dogwood Trail, sending the lights’ poles crashing down across the highway, said Tyrone Police Chief Johnny Hay. This is the second time this has happened in two months at Dogwood and Hwy. 74.
