The Right Rev. J. Neil Alexander, Episcopal Bishop of Atlanta, will celebrate a renewal of ministry with the welcome of a new rector for Saint Andrew’s in the Pines Episcopal Church in Peachtree City tomorrow.

Nat’l Heights celebrates ... congregation since 1872, in Fayetteville since 1988

National Heights Baptist Church will celebrate the 20th anniversary at its present location in Fayetteville this Sunday, April 20. Founded in 1872 in Northern Clayton County, National Heights has changed names and been in three different physical locations, currently some 15 miles from its original beginnings.

The Branches Community Church in Fayetteville will have an Open House and other events Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27.

Fayetteville First Baptist Church will offer GriefShare, a 13-week Bible-based program for those who have lost a loved one, on Tuesday nights from 6:30 - 8 p.m. A new session will begin Tuesday, May 6. Each class begins with a video and is followed by discussion.

Vatican exhibit of miracles at OLM through Friday
The Vatican International Exhibit of the Eucharistic Miracles will be on display at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School through April 18 during the school day. The Vatican developed an exhibition that includes an extensive assortment of photographs and historical descriptions of miracles where the host has bled or a host has transformed into flesh and wine into blood. The Serra Club of Metro Atlanta has acquired a set of the exhibit panels and has made them available to Our Lady of Mercy to display. Our Lady of Mercy is at 861 E. Holyfield Hwy., Fairburn.

Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will present the Rust College A’Cappella Choir in concert on Saturday, April 12, at 5 p.m.

Heritage Christian Church of Fayetteville/Peachtree City will host a Men’s Breakfast this Saturday, April 12, at 8 a.m., featuring a performance by the Holly Grove A.M.E. Men’s Chorus.

Peachtree City Aglow, an international, interdenominational women’s ministry, will feature Dr. Nan Anderson as guest speaker at the Monday, April 14 meeting, set for 6:45 p.m. at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church on Ga. Hwy. 54, in Peachtree City.

There was free admission and free popcorn last Friday as All Saints Anglican Church had its first “Movie Night” with the showing of “Facing The Giants,” the Christian football film produced by an Albany, Ga. church.

Christian musician Dallas Holm will be in concert Sunday night, April 13, at Woolsey Baptist Church, 115 Hampton Road, Fayetteville. The performance begins at 6 p.m. A love offering will be taken and childcare will be provided.

Yom Hashoah, the remembrance of the Holocaust, will be observed for the fifth time in Fayette County, at 4 p.m., Sunday afternoon, May 4.

St. Andrew’s card party is next Wednesday
The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Peachtree City will host their 21st annual card party and luncheon Wednesday, April 16, at 11 a.m. in the parish hall, 316 Peachtree Parkway North and Stephens Entry. Men, women, groups and individuals are welcome to join in the fun. Tickets are $15 per person and may be reserved by calling the church office, 770-487-8415.

Fayetteville Christian Church is now accepting items for its annual yard sale sponsored by the church’s Global Outreach Ministry planned for Friday and Saturday, May 2 and 3 from 7:30 a.m. until noon. Proceeds will benefit mission trips.

Little Vine’s revival starts tonight
Little Vine Baptist Church in Tyrone will hold its spring revival, Wednesday through Friday, April 2-4, with services beginning each night at 7:30 p.m. The speaker will be the Rev. Melvin Ware, pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Little Vine is at 115 Handley Rd., at the corner of Tyrone Road, one block east of Ga Hwy. 74.

Mrs. Dinah Erinne, a member of the Anglican Church in Africa, recently visited Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg and was presented with a number of copies of the book, Non nobis, Domine!, about the convergence movement and the Charismatic Episcopal Church.

Hopewell to host Internet safety program
Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone will host an Internet Safety Presentation Friday, March 28, at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. The program is designed to show the dangers children and youngsters face on the internet as well as to provide tools and techniques for making the home Internet safe. The church is across the street from Sandy Creek High School.
