Members of Fayetteville First Baptist Church’s Men’s Ministry wiil travel to Sparta, Ga. Jan. 31 for their second annual Men’s Winter Skeet and Trap Shoot at Hudson Plantation.

CTK offers Bible study for potential OSL members

A Bible study project, “The Healing Ministry of Jesus Christ,” required for full membership admission into the International Order of St. Luke the Physician (OSL), will be offered at Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church beginning Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Family Life Center.

Miracle Way Baptist plans benefit singing Feb. 7

Miracle Way Baptist Church in Senoia will host a Benefit Singing for Marcia Williamson on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 6 p.m. Featured performers will be Second Coming from Griffin and Drew Parker from Douglasville. Proceeds will help pay medical bills for Marcia, who was diagnosed with cancer last October.

The walk is 6.2 miles around Stone Mountain.

Jon Paul Landon, 17-year-old East Coweta High School junior, recently served as “Boy Bishop” at Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg. The observance is an ancient tradition which was once popular throughout Europe. The ceremony is a lesson in humility and recognition of the wisdom of youthful innocence.

B’nai Israel to offer Judaism class
Congregation B’nai Israel will offer the second part of its “Judaism: Are you Curious?” class on Jan. 24 from 9 a.m. until noon. The class is open to the community and is free of charge, but registration is required. Of all the assets and resources among us, when one studies and analyzes our demographics and community dynamics, it’s “the family” that rises to the top of both the benefit and priority list. And like any other “greatest asset,” of course, we need and want to protect and improve it. We must.

FFBC changes worship times
Fayetteville First Baptist Church has changed the times of its Sunday worship services. The early service in the Overton Chapel starts at 8:15 a.m.; break for Sunday School is from 9:15 - 9:30 a.m.; Sunday School classes will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m.; break for second worship is from 10:30-10:45 a.m.; and the second service starts at 10:45 a.m. The church is on Stonewall Avenue about a block from the courthouse.
