Christ the King hosts lock-in with Hogansville CEC

Matthew’s Charismatic Episcopal Church, Hogansville, held a joint “lock-in” in January.

The event began on a Friday evening in the new Parish Life Center at Christ the King with activities and a teaching by David Pike of St. Matthew’s.

A local Christian band, under the direction of Amanda Hale, a Georgia State University student and daughter of Father and Mrs. Dan Hale, Peachtree City, provided a concert and worship event.

Father Ron Clemmer, vicar at St. Matthew’s, and Bishop David Epps, Sharpsburg, also put in an appearance.

On Saturday, there were games, teachings, discussions, small group encounters, and plenty of food, most of which was provided by volunteers.

The event concluded on Saturday evening with a Solemn Eucharist with U.S. Army Chaplain Father Jonathan Landon, Senoia, serving as celebrant and Deacon Tony McGee, Newnan, assisting at the table.

Seth and Joy McGee, Peachtree City, youth leaders at Christ the King, headed up the event assisted by a number of volunteers and chaperones.
