A Peachtree City church congregation that walked away from the Episcopal Church or TEC over Bible interpretations, chose a new name this week and a new location. Most recently known as the Anglican Church of Fayette County, the group has selected All Saints Anglican Church as its permanent name, and a multi-use building in Tyrone for worship for at least the next year.

Musicians Dave and Barb Anderson will appear at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church Saturday, March 10, at 7 p.m.

Both are ministers of the gospel in song and the spoken word. Dave is president of Fellowship Ministries, a non-profit, para-church organization, founded in 1975, based in Tempe, Ariz. Fellowship Ministries sponsors worship and music conferences and seminars, publishes worship resources, and sponsors the Anderson’s concerts.

Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City will again host the 5th annual “Dia de la Familia” Preventive Health Fair this Saturday, March 10, from 8 a.m. until noon.

The Duke’s Men of Yale University will be in Peachtree City on Thursday, March 15, to do a 7 p.m. concert at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church.

First Baptist Church of Peachtree City will begin its new Grace Life support groups on Thursday, March 15, and will continue to offer the classes each Thursday.

McDonough Road Baptist Church in Fayetteville will observe “Facing the Giants Sunday” on March 4, with a free screening of the movie at 6 p.m.

Preschool at Christ’s Church at Whitewater will begin fall registration next week, starting with walk-in registration, Monday, Feb. 26 through Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Registration will continue in the weeks following. The school offers classes two days a week for ages six months to two years, three days a week for three year old children, and four and five day programs for four year olds. All classes meet from 9 a.m. -1 p.m.

The women’s ministry at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will host a one-day women’s workshop retreat with the focus on “Living Creatively,” Saturday, March 3, from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. The workshop will be facilitated by Vicar Pam Smith.
