New Hope to host clown conference

Clowns with New Hope clown troupe will again host the Clowning for Christ International two-day conference, named “TNT Road Show and clown training conference”, on Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3.
The conference brings professional instruction in clown arts at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
The goal of the conference is to raise the level of professionalism in all areas of clowning. It will feature a free Clown Show on Friday night, March 2, in the New Hope North campus worship center.
The conference will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. each day. The clown show is free and open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. Friday. All events will take place at the church’s North Campus, 551 New Hope Road, Fayetteville. The cost for both days of the conference is $55 at the door.
Classes will cover makeup techniques, face painting, magic, ballooning, juggling, caring clowning, birthday party clowning, character development, skits, shows, storytelling, and clowning on the mission field.
Instructors include Steve Kissell, Tony “Junior” Jones, Nikki “LaLa” Jones, Sandy “Chitter Chatter” Noe, Marcela “Momma Clown” Murad, and Tom “Tommy Boy” King.
A variety of professional clown supplies and costumes will also be available in the vendor area.
