Lenten lunches start next week

The annual Lenten Lunches hosted by the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will begin next Wednesday (Ash Wednesday), Feb. 21, and will continue each Thursday through the Lenten season.

New Anglican church forming in Newnan

A new Anglican Church fellowship has formed in Newnan in association with the Anglican Mission in the Americas.

The recently formed New Life in Christ Anglican Church meets on Sunday afternoons at 3 p.m. at 95 White Oak Dr. and is supported by Trinity Anglican Church in Douglasville, a 3-year-old congregation that is also part of the Anglican Mission in the Americas.

Planning church dedication

It’s been a long journey for the pilgrim people of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Coweta County. Finally, their yearned-for first church will be officially dedicated by Atlanta Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory on Feb. 8. And an Octave of Celebration will continue through Feb. 16 with special planned events for both the parish and the community.
