The Newberry College Jazz Band will perform in concert at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City on Monday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m.

Under the direction of Professor Bill Long, the 28 young musicians will present an eclectic program of jazz and popular music. Featuring vocalist Betsy Burriss, they will play such classics as “And the Angels Sing,” “Rock This Town,” “April in Paris,” “Gospel John,” and Gladys Knight tunes.

Newberry College is a liberal arts institution in Newberry, S.C., related to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

The concert is free and is the first in a spring series at Christ Our Shepherd. The church is at the corner of Peachtree Parkway and Ga. Highway 54.
