Peachtree City residents will not be allowed to bring their own alcohol for consumption at local restaurants.

The “brown bagging” proposal, brought by resident Ric Hunt, was sacked by a 4-1 vote of the City Council Thursday night. The sole vote in opposition was from Councilwoman Cyndi Plunkett, who said she favored the idea.

Peachtree City police have released a sketch of one of the perpetrators who robbed the Ruby Tuesday restaurant at gunpoint as it closed Sunday evening.

This suspect was described as a black male between 20-25 years old, about 6’3” tall with a dark complexion, police said. He was wearing a baseball cap and a stocking over his face with a black T-shirt and black pants, police said.
