Ruby Tuesday suspect sketch

Peachtree City police have released a sketch of one of the perpetrators who robbed the Ruby Tuesday restaurant at gunpoint as it closed Sunday evening.

This suspect was described as a black male between 20-25 years old, about 6’3” tall with a dark complexion, police said. He was wearing a baseball cap and a stocking over his face with a black T-shirt and black pants, police said.

Police are offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 770-487-8866 or the tip line at 770-487-6010. Callers may remain anonymous.

The incident occurred at 11:12 p.m., right after the restaurant closed when the two men, brandishing handguns, confronted the employees, police said.

A gun was held to one employee’s head while another was forced to open the manager’s office and safe, police said.

How could they draw a portrait of this man with a stocking over his face???

He looks like the guy in the July 10th story that was involved in the Red Room incident!

He also looks like The Avenue bandit from last year. LOL Where is the stocking over the face? How can this be a correct description?

Harmony
Do you care to explain what prompted you to say such a baseless, stupid comment. You need to get your facts straight and stop the racist stereotyping. Contrary to what you might think, we don't all look alike. Its comment like this that would be a great subject of a slander lawsuit.

Wait just one minute!!! I only said that I looked at the mug shot of the guy in Senoia (that lives in my subdivision) and the new photo that was released today. You look at the two and tell me that they do not look like the same person! I NEVER EVEN USED THE WORD BLACK-YOU ARE THE ONE THAT MADE IT RACIAL!!

Go to the search box on this website and type in "Peeks Crossing" and pull up the story about the Senoia man being arrested for false statements and writings and look at his picture and then look at the PTC picture and tell me that is not the same man.

By the way, you need to quit being racist!!! You just assumend that I was, but you proved it by your post!

The reason that shon1 felt you were being racist, more than likely, would be your belief that these two men look remotely alike. They don't. This sort of racism is sometimes called "benign racism" where you are not intentionally inflicting real harm, but just can't help but have racial prejudices that impact the way that you think and act, or your actions have a racially unbalanced impact.

You wait just one minute. First for your information, James Armond Blackmon hasn't lived in Peeks Crossing in 2 years. Just because an address is printed on someone's license, doesn't mean it is current. Also, do you think Fayette County released him to go rob Ruby Tuesday and waited up for him to come back? He isn't a suspect in anything no matter what you may have seen, heard or read. You obviously must be saying they resemble because of the color of their skin. James is definitely not 6 ft tall. And you have not seen him in your "Subdivision". That is old news. When the truth comes out, there will be some very ignorant looking people scratching their heads. The family of James Armond Blackmon will also seek retractions from everyone who has slandered his name.

Ummm...I happen to know the fellow that you say lives in your neighborhood, and let me tell you that NO they look NOTHING alike. That was a stupid comment.

Submitted by Harmony on Fri, 07/18/2008 - 8:36pm.

Ummm...I have never actually seen Mr. Blackmon. If you will READ my comment, you will see that I was basing my comment on a mug shot and a drawing. I am not in anyway stupid! I asked two other people to look at the pictures and they both agreed with me.

Why are you people not attacking the blogger that said the perp looked like the guy that was posted all over PTC??? Do you have a personal interest in Mr. Blackmon??

By the way, I found out that Mr. Blackmon is still in jail. If you two are so involved with this man, why haven't you bailed him out?

PEACE!!

This isn't an attack. Obviously this is an attempt to set the record straight. You can draw all the conclusions you want. Yes I do have a personal interest in him. And as far as bailing him out, when the truth comes out, there won't be a bail. By the way, its none of your business.

I thought I recognized this guy at first, then I realized that he looks like the guy that was robbing locals last year. The one that had his picture in every window in town. hmmm

I don't know if that guy is out of jail right now, but I do know he was caught (I think in East Point or Cobb... can't remember right now).

I am so pleased the announce that I have been trained in the use of hand guns for self defense and am carrying a concealed weapon at all times. I feel empowered against the thugs in our community. If you threaten me, be prepared to see the muzzle flash right in your face. I'm a good shot at close range. I encourage anyone interested in carrying a weapon to get good training in the proper used of the weapon. It makes a huge difference!

I want his gun - a 9mm. with us at all times. Predators like the Ruby Tuesday scum have guns, so why shouldn't we?

I used to think it would be dangerous if he carried his gun in public - probably thinking he'd use it inappropriately or someone would take it from him, but believe me after 10 years with him protecting me when we go out - I would not have it any other way.

The real solution to this type of crime is cameras (to record the act and the face of the predator) and having licensed gun owners carrying.

It is sad to learn that you find the world so frightening that you want your husband to carry a gun at all times.

Many of us are not so afraid. We don't arm ourselves to shop, take our children or grandchildren to playgrounds, go to church, eat out, etc. We even encounter African-Americans and Hispanics without assuming they are about to do us harm.

I feel very sorry for you and the fears you must deal with.

Relax. Fayette County is a very safe place to live. Crimes do happen but let the police handle them.

I'm certainly not afraid and never have been. I'm prepared. I want to be equal to the thugs of the world. They are carrying. Why shouldn't I?

Just because you choose to be a victim doesn't mean I have to be one as well.

A 9mm will ricochet off of a windshield where a .40 or .45 will go through a car door.

A 9mm is good at punching a hole in a paper target and as a rule has a higher velocity but a .40 or .45 230gr +P has the stopping power of a tank!

Remember, the goal isn't to scare the perpetrator, the goal is to STOP the perpetrator.

Go to Autrey's and try the three different choices side-by-side.
