Benoit's doctor pleads guilty on 175 counts

The Carrollton physician indicted in May on charges of illegally dispensing prescription drugs from 2002 until his arrest in 2007 pleaded guilty today in federal court in Newnan to all 175 charges in a superceding indictment. Fayette School Board approves furloughs for some employees

Armed robbery outside the Food Depot

A man was robbed at gunpoint outside the Food Depot at Banks Station Jan. 23 after cashing his paycheck, Fayetteville police said. The two robbers fled in what was thought to be a Honda car, police said.
