County to retreat 70 miles to Callaway Gardens resortThe relatively new Fayette County Commission is putting its own unique stamp on how it conducts business. For years, the County Commission has held its regular retreat at Aberdeen Woods Conference Center in Peachtree City and a citizen would occasionally wander in to see what the board was discussing. City Councilman Stuart Kourajian has announced that instead of running for re-election this November, he will run for the Post 3 seat on the Fayette County Commission in 2008, which is currently held by Peter Pfeifer. These include Fayetteville, Peachtree City, and Tyrone who will be conducting elections on November 7. Sawyer has announced that a second location has been secured for early voting.
