Man arrested for shooting girlfriend

A north Fayette man was arrested early Sunday after he shot his girlfriend during a domestic dispute, police said.

Christopher McDaniel, 29, of 350 Carriage Drive remains in the Fayette County Jail after he was denied bond on one of the four charges filed against him.

Highway 92 led to the arrest of three men from Atlanta, Riverdale and Lumber City on multiple drug and firearms charges when they attempted to purchase 25 pounds of marijuana and one kilogram of cocaine from undercover agents. The men tried unsuccessfully to convince an undercover agent to travel to Union City to complete the transaction.
