Flexxon wants to buy tract behind PTC police station

A developer is apparently preparing to sweeten its bid to acquire a piece of city-owned property with highway frontage on Ga. Highway 54 West.

McIntosh High School graduate George “Frag” Collings is flying bombing missions out of Balad Air Base Iraq.

Collings, a 1st Lieutenant in the Air Force, is in the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing, which provides close air support. In a recent mission, he helped with the Battle of An Najaf where more than 200 enemy insurgents were killed and 100 gunmen captured south of Baghdad Jan. 28.

Son was shot to death at party fueled by beer, marijuana

The parents of a Peachtree City teen who was shot and killed at a party in June have not only sued the accused shooter and the party host, but they also want to hold accountable whomever provided the drugs and alcohol at the party — and whomever provided the gun to Kevin Johnston, 17, of Sharpsburg.

Drug addicts have a hard time kicking the habit. Now it appears that drug dealers have the same problem, at least judging by an arrest made Tuesday afternoon at the Fayetteville Wal-Mart in the Fayette Pavilion, police said.

Council to consider change for Kedron commercial tract

The Peachtree City Planning Commission has approved the rezoning of a commercial tract to a multi-family use.

East Coweta’s first mega-development received its first approval Monday night by the Sharpsburg Town Council.
