Drug suspect fails to elude deputies

Led chase from PTC Wal-Mart into rural Coweta

A suspect who showed up at the Peachtree City Wal-Mart to make a drug deal with undercover agents led deputies on a chase from the Peachtree City Wal-Mart into rural Coweta County Thursday night.

Deputies had to pull back from the pursuit because the traffic on the road made it too dangerous, said Capt. Mike Pruitt of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force. But the suspect bailed his truck at the dead end of a street and neighbors in the area called Coweta County providing the truck’s location, Pruitt said; Hawk 1, the sheriff’s helicopter unit, also assisted in the pursuit.

Deputies responded to the area and a tracking dog from the Newnan Police Department picked up the suspect’s scent and found him in a pile of debris near an abandoned house, Pruitt said.

In the truck, deputies found a small amount of marijuana and a .380 caliber handgun, but the drugs that were to be provided in the transaction — 30 pills of ecstasy and 1.5 ounces of cocaine — were gone, Pruitt said. He surmised that somewhere along the extensive route the suspect took, he managed to dump the drugs out the window of his vehicle.

The suspect was identified as Alston Jerrard Green, 24, of Herring Road, Newnan. He is charged with fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer and possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors, Pruitt said.

A short time before the pursuit, the drug task force made another drug-related arrest on a suspect who sold an undercover agent about a half an ounce of cocaine in the restroom of the Wal-Mart. That suspect, identified as Benjamin Perez Colton, 23, of Newnan was arrested without incident as he walked outside of the store heading to his vehicle, Pruitt said.

Colton was charged with selling cocaine, police said.

Oh how nice, we've got the illegal drug trade and .380 caliber handguns floating around the Wal-Mart. Go look at the Pavilion and the ones in Newnan and Union City. Anybody surprised??

Hey let's bring in a Sam's Club or a Costco and we can build some little prison cells in the parking lots for easy handling.

The crime rate drops in Fairburn and goes up in Peachtree City, hip, hip hooray.

So ultimately, unless Fayette County/Coweta County Sheriff's find the rest of the dope, he pretty much gets off with 2 misdemeanors? Hopefully, with some pooch help they will find the rest.

On behalf of Enigma - allow me to answer for him.

Thanks for not using insults, for showing us all how to behave, and for assuming that I am a white male (the scum of the earth no doubt). I see you have still not read the "Whites Not Allowed" news article.

I also see that you have embarrassingly realized that the sarcasm Enigma used regarding the Irish stereotypes drove home the point he intended it to. I too was an excellent teacher for a few years. It's nice to see Enigma can still make a point to even an 'old' dog. I'm sure even you now realize that you were way out of bounds and did EXACTLY what you are criticizing others for doing by attacking someone who used stereotypes (well, maybe not).

As for the Tug13 being a better person than you, first of all she is smart enough to know that you were being shown the hypocrisy of your own selective outrage - you clearly were not able to discern that lesson.

She does not use personal insults - like comparing people to being pedophiles and living in aluminum clad mobile facilities - you clearly do.

She doesn't comment on things she has not read and most importantly, if she went to a linked site, and read an article, she would actually be able to see that "Whites need not apply" written to a white congressman who applied for the Congressional Black Caucus would mean that whites cannot "join if they want to". Duh-huh.

Your comment that "I see white kids wearing FUBU all the time" tells me quite a bit about you. I bet you have a couple of shirts like that too huh Grandma? I happen to know that Enigma actually did own a couple of trailer parks in Hall County (on the lake) but I'm equally sure he never lived in one. I don’t criticize those who do though as they are probably doing the best they can.

I guess you would rather they live in Section 8 housing like Harmony Village. No, I really don’t think Enigma is a pedophile but thanks for checking. While I feel certain he has never molested a child, I met this old Irish woman once who ...well, you know the rest.

And most of all, thank you for letting people know that all (white) people are not like you and do not think (or read) like you.

Again, I was just showing enigma that throwing around stereotypes is ignorant. I see you get the point. Read it again, I was fairly certain that my point was made to that fact right after i said it. I actually know plenty of great people who live in trailer parks. I was just showing enigma how ignorant it was to base an entire argument on baseless impressions.

Submitted by myword_mark on Sun, 01/28/2007 - 9:37pm.

You want us to all believe that YOU are now using stereotypes, like Enigma did, to teach us that they are hurtful(like the whitefaces).

That is the same lesson you didn't get when he did it to you as an Irish, thus you insulted him and lashed out. He then called you on it and pointed out that you were doing what you were criticizing others for.

And now you want us to believe that you are now doing it to him to teach him that stereotypes hurt (like the whitefaces).

Does that about sum it up?

And all of this from a woman who says she read the article about Congressman Cohen not being allowed to join the congressional Black Caucus because he is white and that it was important that only African Americans be allowed and then stated that "we could join if we wanted to" and "that doesn't prove anything".

Sorry grandma, I am not buying it.

Tug13...it was neither my intent nor goal to offend you, so if I did please accept my apology. I believe this may be the key to the many arguments that I read on these blogs....not everything that everyone does is "meant" to be offensive, but if someone does take offense to something that was done, there is nothing wrong with taking the time to let that person or persons know that: A. It wasn't my intention and: B. I apologize for inadvertently offending you. Life would be so much easier if more people did this.

I just want to make sure I have this correct...the hateful act that the Fayetteville community is so outraged about is the perception that some members of Mt Olive were in "white face"?? I was looking at the pictures and they look like a bunch of harmless Mimes to me. It seems that this "community outrage" is all about a few individual interpretations of this float. One of the funny things about this controversy is that most of the people commenting weren't even in attendance (myself included) Let's get real people...there are enough people, both black AND white, in Fayette County and surrounding areas doing OVERTLY racist and hateful things that deserve more attention than a few church members with white paint on there face. Next thing I'm waiting to hear is someone from the Miming Society wanting a public apology because they heard that people in the parade were dressed up like mimes and speaking. GET A LIFE PEOPLE!!!

Or maybe you just woke up this morning and wanted to be mad about something so you decided this was as good as anything else to direct you anger towards. Whatever the case …...when you figure it out please let me know!! As for your "If I had done this in black face would you approve?" question. I never once alluded to approving of this float. I personally don't think that it was very well thought out or executed properly. But who cares!!! Would you have felt any better if they had some white kids on the bus in black face next to the black kids in white face??? Of course it wouldn't change your mind because then you would have to find something else to be mad about...and that could take you all weekend!!!

I've been reading a lot of these blogs about all of this. I even posted a couple of them myself. It seems to me that the people that think rationally and truly understand what the message Mt. Olive was trying to send seemingly outnumber one ignorant blogger...beah3. Now he/she might be offended by that word. I've been called ignorant before. It hurt my feelings. But you know what I did? I became educated. I learned what I could about it (whatever it was, which doesn't even matter). Suddenly, I became informed, enlightened. Things were clear. I understood.

I know for a fact that if I painted my face up with a bunch of black shoe polish (I know "black" people aren't really black, just as "white" people aren't truly white), there would be a (black) community outrage. Jesse Jackson and his cronies would be all over me like stink on...well you know. If Johnnie Cochran were still alive, he'd be trying to sue me. Al Sharpton would condemn me to Hell. (Wait, those ARE Mr. Jackson's cronies). Anyway, I think you get where I'm going. You see, beah3, it's all in how you interpret things. I know that I would offend someone if I painted my face black. I have many black friends, some I love dearly. I would never do that to them. Any true Christian person that has any morals about them at all would take that into consideration before painting their face the color of another person's race and parade around with a negative message about "the way it used to be". What should have happened is that black people, white people, and any other race, creed or religion of people should have gotten together and had this parade (or at least this portion of it) demonstrate that we can all live together as "One Nation Under God". Forget what happened years ago. Celebrate the fact that everyone has a fair chance now. We can all ride that bus together now. We can drink from the same fountain. We can celebrate MLK for what he believed in. I obviously never knew Dr. King, but I'm sure he would be ashamed of what this "church" did.

So beah3, try to see this from a different perspective and stop being so narrow minded. I really wanted to say some things to you in this blog that you probably wouldn't like, but I'm better than that. I'll give you a chance to think about it, put yourself in someone else's shoes just this once and try to understand why so many people are upset about Mt. Olive.

So are you actually mad that some black person was in white face or are you just having a knee jerk reaction stating "If I did it, they would be mad so since they did, it I'm mad." You see black face actually represents a bitter past that this country has had, and the extent that "white people" would go to, to demean black people....WHAT DOES WHITE FACE REPRESENT???

You can't be as ignorant as you let on. You must be the good reverend from Mt. Olive.

People do sometimes do things unintentionally that hurt others or transgress against them (i.e.; I bump in to you) typically, a morally sound person with normal social skills would say "I'm sorry".

Clearly, whether intentional or not, Mt. Olive chose to make "the color of ones skin" more important that the "content of their character".

Now, that may well have been unintentional, in which case all they need to do is say "I'm sorry". Or, it could have been symptomatic of a deeper and more sinister issue, racism.

Either way, asking a church to apologize should not be an issue of contention. Why is this church, who previously blogged in defense of their actions, and who clearly is aware of the feelings of this community, refusing to make a simple apology?

Now you can (and obviously do) feel free to attack all of the good people here who have the courage to voice disgust with the actions of Mt. Olive (which I feel certain you agree they have the right to do) or you can help us all understand why a double standard exists among face painting and stereotyping and why a church refuses to answer to the community they offended by promoting and perpetuating the idea that all white faces made all black faces ride in the back of a bus.

Perhaps they could consider showing a group of white lawyers and white senators arguing on behalf of southern blacks that were a victim of segregation (like in Darfur right now but to a much, much lesser extent). Maybe they could add the book "To Kill a Mockingbird" to their book club handouts. (You ARE familiar with the book aren't you? (A white face actually helps a black man.) Would you be upset if they showed Senator Robert Byrd in his Klan outfit? He was a Klansman you know. After all, it is the past. Maybe next time they will Byrd in his regalia, show Senator Gore arguing against the Civil Rights Act and portray the Republicans arguing to abolish segregation and for the Civil Rights Act. As a democrat, I would also find that unnecessary and offensive, would you?

Maybe they could actually show whites in a favorable light so the little kids would know that all bad people aren’t white faces and all white faces aren't bad people. Maybe they could just apologize.

And finally, this will be my only blog to you as it is painfully evident that you are either to moronic to be socially cognitive of the mores this community possesses, or too ignorant of normal social behavior to make a cogent argument in defense of (your) Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

As for you thinking we “… are all” to ignorant to "...posses the intellectual fortitude (Skyspy, Git Real, tug13 and the countless others) to engage in a debate without taking it personally" was that personal attack by you ‘taking it personally’ somehow different? You certainly do have a high opinion of yourself. Perhaps when you move beyond Samuel Clements quotes you can add these to your repertoire:

“He who thinks himself wise, O heavens! is a great fool”
Voltaire

“Any fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius-and a lot of courage-to move in the opposite direction.”

You make an interesting point....Lets say for the sake of argument that you and I were walking through Kroger, and I accidentally bumped into you, and before I had a chance to apologize for the incident..YOU run off at the mouth calling me every name in the book. Now you probably still deserve an apology for me bumping into you, but in light of your over-reaction to the incident....you would be more deserving of a slap in the mouth!!!
That is exactly what's going on in this Mt Olive incident...as I have mentioned before and what no one seems to acknowledge is, I don't feel that the Mt. Olive float was well thought out or tastefully executed. Now that being said....the "White Communities" over-reaction to this float and the hateful things that have been intentionally directed towards that Church are even more thoughtless and distasteful.. The difference in the two incidents is, I don't feel it was Mt. Olives INTENT to offend the "white community in Fayetteville." So yes maybe someone from that organization should have stepped forward and said..."this was not what we were setting out to do, and if it has offended anyone we apologize.” However the "white Fayette community" did intentionally direct racial untruths towards Mt. Olive. So what would you say is done about that...
I applaud those white lawyers who defended there black clients in those civil cases you mentioned..but what does that have to do with this ONE ISOLATED incident. I guess the point your trying to make is look "we white people help you blacks and this is the way you re-pay us"....your comment was excellent right up until you started bringing in all this other crap that has nothing to do with the matter at hand. Again over-reaction at it's best.

Smiling Wow, you're quite the genius aren't you?

Look closely at my previous sentence: Now do you see how to punctuate contractions? We will work on spelling another time. It should be after we get you out of the lousy old 'white-face' school.

As for being aggressive, let me just say that I would love for you to bump in to me at Kroger and then “slap my face” (no aggression in you there sweetie) instead of apologizing Eye-wink Minor or otherwise, twinkle toes, if you ever slap me you will never forget it (and that’s before I sue you).

You can also rest assured that should I ever bump in to you, I would apologize without question, even if you took great exception to my clumsiness.

Now do you understand how ‘big people’ do things?

Wow, first punctuation, then social skills, you are really getting quite the lesson sweetheart! Remember, spelling is next!

Enigma, if you are trying to run a race to see who can be more repulsive, then you definitely won by a mile. Unfortunately, you are making beah3 look good now. Because half of what you are saying is baseless as well.
You are trying to be a bully. We all make our mistakes. And I for one would like to know what do any of those groups you named have to do with what you are discussing. For every one lawsuit currently pending against black people there are one hundred pending against us. Take a long look at what is really going on here. You are defending what may be hundreds of years of racism by pointing out that these people have a little bit of pride now. It seems to me that you are trying to strip that away as opposed to actually making a point about something. Again, aren't there other things to be concerned with? Seriously.

I can’t type fast enough to continue correcting your errors. I can say that you have so many that the irony of you calling everyone ignorant is overwhelming. Ignorance is bliss and you must be one happy little girl. As for the Irish72 ‘woman’, sarcasm is clearly lost on you. My Irish ire was actually first raised when Tug13 was attacked. She too, like me, is part Irish and a better woman than you will ever be. So as not to further confuse your simple minds:

You are welcome for the English lesson beah3, thanks for the Ebonics lesson.

Yes Irish72, I know that beah3 is a little boy, I was insulting her. Eye-wink

The racial references I made to the Irish, of which I am at lest one-quarter, was to drive home the point that stereotypes hurt people. I see they angered you - good - that was the point of the diatribe. Now perhaps you can see why so many 'white-faces' were also hurt and, like you, struck out at the source.

I had no idea that so many ignorant people even had access to the Internet. No wonder online gambling and porno are the two largest cash businesses on the web.

I'll leave it with the rest of you good folks to try and wake up these two lost causes. Skyspy, Tug13, Git Real, Myword_Mark, et.al. - good luck you are asking a sow to snow ski.

I am sure you insulted Tug13 as well. But it is funny to me that you can determine who is a better person by the mere fact that I didn't appreciate the way you went about defending us white people. The last thing I want is for people of other races to think we all think like you. I was under the impression that they did not offer internet in the trailer parks, so I am very surprised to see you on. You must be at your friend’s house. Stop throwing out stereotypes and thinking that somehow that proves your point, all it proves is that you are unbelievably ignorant. What if someone were to say YOU were a child molester because they see mostly white males on the spotlight for that crime? I guess that makes you a pedophile, right?

You may carry guilt from past transgressions but I can assure you I do not. I did not grow up in a society that prevented blacks from doing anything at all. I do however live in a society that has two standards now, one for whites and one for minorities.

Mt. Olive offended a lot of people including the remainder of those in the parade. I think this explosion of bloggers is symptomatic of a deeper problem. People are tired of being stereotyped for something they had no knowledge of, no involvement in, and no association with that is being brought up by people who were not affected in the first place.

What they all have in common is blatant hypocrisy. They are all based on skin color, not open to other races, and foster a perpetual division of the races that was outlawed over 40 years ago. It is difficult at best to explain that "content of character" is supposed to be the "dream" and the criteria which we should judge people whenever you cannot get past "color of the skin" issues and old stereotypes based on ethnicity.

You're Irish, right? Could it be that you are just drunk (as usual) and took a break from beating your wife, lost at the track and are really just angry about the price of potatoes? You red headed, bowlegged, freckle faced, big eared Irish boys have always had trouble getting along (i.e., The IRA) with us English folks. Maybe it’s because you never learned to speak English properly. Get the point Micky? How would you like a “No Micks allowed” club?

Your buddy beah3 called out Git Real, Tug13, and Skyspy, myword_mark and others by name. She made personal attacks on everyone who dared speak their mind. I thought it was time to take her to task. Especially since she can’t spell or use proper grammar but insists that everyone else is “ignorant”.

You may choose to associate with and defend people like beah3 when they are confronted in response to their personal attacks but I will not. I will however speak about injustice and hypocrisy whenever and wherever I see it.

In other words:
Don't preach to me about ignoring organizations that have the "color of their skin" as the ONLY criteria for membership. Perhaps you would benefit from a lesson in Dr. King's "I have a dream" speech as well.

Submitted by irish72 on Sun, 01/28/2007 - 8:05pm.

First of all, enigma. If you were paying attention at all, you would see that I am a woman and beah 3 is a man. Dumba**! So, with that being said, i now see that you are incapable of seeing the issue at hand because YOU are the one that is prejudice and racist. I can't believe that you have moved over from spitting your hatred on blacks to now spitting your hatred on other white people. What is more unbelievable is that you probably have no idea about your own heritage, which happens to be almost identical to Irish people. Now you have managed to offend everyone with your baseless comments. It takes a real fool to turn a conversation between individuals into a rant about someone elses race or culture. You need to read that speech by Dr. King, because it seems to me that you are exactly as you accuse the blacks of being, racist and intolerant, unable to separate yourself from things that have nothing at all to do with you. I am not carrying any guilt about past transgressions, but apparently you are bitter that these people have obviously educating themselves enough to know that they should take pride in themselves as oppose to what had been told to them repeatedly by "our" ancestors in the past. This country was built on history, without it you wouldn't know which way is up or down, or better yet which way to turn you old ford truck with the confederate flag still hung on the rearview mirror...now who is living in the past? Grow up.

So now I'm the racist...you guys really amuse me. Today is the first time I have even heard about the Mt Olive incident and within the last few hours, and from your own bigoted comments, you would think that I sponsored that float. Here is the simple truth: Most people both black & white would prefer to attack things they are not familiar with and don't understand, rather than try to take the time to become familiar with and understand. Example: Skyspy calling me a "reverse racist idiot". Skyspy I don't know you nor do you know me but I guess you must think you know my type. And since you just judged me not based on direct knowledge or personal dealings, I guess you are truly the one in this conversation who is a bigot. I'm making sure no to "pre-judge" you. It was your own comment "you don't want to be equal at all... do you?" that is rooted in some other personal problem you have which I don't have the time or the inclination to dive into right now. But it is these little incidents that people like YOU..(yes I said it...YOU) want to make into a regional conspiracy, which will continue to fuel disharmony between all races.... NOT JUST BLACKS AND WHITES. And since you don't have any other valid points to make about the situation we are discussing...then the only recourse you have left is to attack me. It's very 3rd grade of you. But then again I don't know you, so you might actually be in the THIRD GRADE. Anyway it been interesting bantering with you.

I'm dangerous to your agenda of race superiority. I've been ready for years to see some real efforts in healing this nation and our communities and so have many other white people that I know. Like I've said before.....it's going to take both sides to come together as a community. I'm ready how about you. I'll throw down my Black face and you throw down your White face. You get your community to drop their hateful and retaliatory attitudes and I'll step up and get mine to adjust our own attitudes. Stop right now in your denial of your own bigotry and hate. Quit throwing slavery and repression in my face all the time. What the hell do you expect when all you can do is dredge up the past all the time. What do you expect our reactions to be when it's ok for you guys to taunt us but if we do it our actions make national news.

What if I wore my Ted Danson Black face in the Peachtree City Fourth of July Parade. I'd guarantee you that I would be the lead story for Monica Kaufman and I'd headline CNN too. Let's all wake up before it's too late.

Yeah....I'm real dangerous because I've gotten in your face like you've gotten in mine for the past 25 years. Well if that makes me dangerous then get used to it. I'm holding my ground until we all equally make the effort coexist in peace. Until then every time you get in my face I'll jump into yours. Yeeesshhh.........

Because I was raised to never feel superior or inferior to any man or woman, no matter what color they are I know that alot of what you speak are lies. Because I spoke in favor of some of BEAH3's actions, you automatically assumed I was black and not just someone that agreed with him or her. My ancestors were slaves, but there have never been any chains on me, therefore I will never be a slave to slavery. That is my choice. I live in today, and that is challenging enough at times.

I came from a beautiful rainbow of people that includes white people and I am proud of my heritage. I have made life long friends with people of all races because that is who I am. My children were taught that way and their children will be as well.

You want to put everyone black in the same category of being on a witch hunt when it comes to white people. There is good and bad in all people. Crime has no color, and neither does evil. It is what it is. Some of us, and I mean people, human beings, have to work everyday on improving relations. I don't need to be your face nor you in mine if we want what is right and good for all people.

So you continue to wear your black face and chaulk lips. Continue to spewn what you refuse to call your hate for people of color. I will continue to be who I am...and I don't need Jessie or Al to represent me. I do that quite well on my own.

PS...If I saw you wearing the Ted Danson black face in the fourth of July parade, I would think the same as what I said about the Mt. Olive Bus...bad taste. It's not important. But then again if you did that I would have to agree with Beah3, you are pitiful.

in the Fourth of July parade I'd deserve to have my butt whipped. I have family members who are half African American too. So what. Race isn't an issue.

Much of what you said I will agree with. All I ask is that you hold both sides equally accountable. If that makes me dangerous then I am guilty as charged.

You claim you live in today. I salute you for that. Perhaps when Beah and the MOB bunch start living in today rather than in the past then we can move on.

Again the "past is the past". Let's move on? If you think that makes me dangerous then perhaps you need to examine your own thinking. God Bless lady.

You don't even want to get even...you just want to conquer Whitey and put him in his place. Amazing that after all these discussions you still find it acceptable to flaunt your white face racist parade float in our faces yet you find it reprehensible that I dare wear black. How dare you call me an overt racist because of my pointing out the double standard in which you thrive off of. You are a bigot and racist and that's the color you show.

You don't even know how good you've got it in this country. What are you going to do when the Mexicans take over. If you think they dislike us whiteys just wait and see how they're going to treat you. Go to Cologne, Panama or any other country in Central America and see how they isolate the black population in the "real ghettos". Those people aren't going to put up with or buy into your crap at all.

We could have a good thing going in this country right now but you and the rest of the black bigots who's mission is to stir up hate and dissension all the time refuse to allow it.

Did you actually write and I quote "...you just want to conquer Whitey and put him in his place." Do you and skyspy have the same daddy or something? You definitely have issues that have nothing to do with Mt. Olive or "white face". By the way I never said I find it "reprehensible that I (you) dare wear black." I think it's kind of cute on you, truth be told. My spouse and I were wondering if you would be interested in wearing that get-up to out 16 year olds birthday party...I'm sure the guests would get as big a kick of watching you make a fool of yourself as I have gotten reading you make a fool of yourself. I won't pay you a penny more than $175 for three hours. Half now, half upon your completion of the event. What do you say?
Getting back to the matter at hand, it was your, "reasons" for wearing "black face" that I find reprehensible, anyone who would do such a thing WITH THE INTENT of trying to outrage people is small minded indeed. You and your long lost brother skyspy need to come up with some real arguments. Thanks for the suggestion about Panama...my spouse and I are actually looking into purchasing a winter condo there in Panama City, Beach front condos over there are a steal. We may invite you down sometime. With the stipulation that you bring the "black face" costume of course. We can always use a go laugh even when we're visiting other countries.

Which one of the other regulars are you anyways? You're not a sista that's for sure.

First of all there is no need to defend my picture to you. You know the "true" meaning of the reason I put up this black face pic. So come off of it. Over 10 years ago Ted Danson and his trashy girlfiend at the time (Whoopie Goldberg) used my black face pic in a skit which rightfully drew much criticism at the time. So why in the name of peace, harmony and unity would Mount Olive Baptist (from here on out referred to as MOB) Church pull such an offensive stunt?

Now let's take a look at the MLK Party at Tarleton State University in Texas. If one were to accept the actions of the black MOB church then one must also accept the actions ot the white college students. Personally I think they are both dispicable.

Personally I find it disheartening that in the year 2007 race relations are still as bad as they were in 1967. All I see is a role reversal. Blacks wanting to put the whites in their place for a history that many never even experienced. I see it all the time. This is the reason why my wife had to quit teaching in South Fulton County after many years. Many of those black racists (teachers and parents)were nasty to her and threatened her often. This from a woman who loved their children and whose lifes work was teaching them. These people don't want peace. They're about like trying to negotiate with the radical Islamic terrorist. All they want is to see the end results of their hateful desires come to fruition.

So yes it is easy to say that I have predjudices against certain classes of people. I am predjudiced against ignorant White Trash just as much as I am predjudiced against ignorant Black Trash. I am predjudiced against illegal aliens and I am predjudiced against the Muslim religion and their desires to destroy all those that do not believe as they do.

Now Beah... go ahead and tell me how much better of a person you are than I, Tug 13, Skyspy, or the Budman. What solutions do you have?

I've stepped up to the plate and in recent years have come to say the hell with that. It takes two sides to make peace. When do you think the MOB will step up?

C.L, if you just equated speaking to black people, to negotiating with terrorist...I am truly sad to say that there is NO solution that will appease you or your kind. I would go further to say that IF you wife left a profession she loved, it was more likely because she couldn't take a few out spoken minority parents commenting on her teaching aptitude. And what do small minded people do when they are offended....they quit. If she was as passionate to educate young minds as you said..a few disagreements with parents and colleagues won't have sent her running home to Hubby. It sounds like intolerance on her part more than anything else. It the “those blacks aren't going to talk to me that way" mentality. I'm sure if she was teaching at Whitewater and concerned white parents approached her in the same manner, she would have been more tolerant and stayed at her post.....that being said all these comments being thrown back and forth, really have little to do with skin color, and more to do with skin thickness....Both BLACKS & WHITES need to stop getting offended so easily over incidents they are misinterpreting...that includes the incidents of black face you mentioned earlier. You spend all this time and effort being "outraged" and where does it get us. NOWHERE!!

You choose to attack my wife and twist the hateful racism she experienced into her being the problem rather than the victim. Yeah...it was her fault when a black kid that repeatedly called her a White Bug-eyed Fool intentionally slammed a door on her had and breaking it. Then to remind her often that he would do it again if he had a chance. Yeah.... I guess that's what she gets for her teaching these kids to read and write and loving on them. I suppose her teaching assistant who was also black was just being an Uncle Tom for telling her the reasons why the parents gave her a hard time was because she was white.

Or the fact that on more than one occasion these kids would cuss her and tell her they didn't have to mind her because she was white and their parents said they did not have to mind white people.

To the credit of the "black" principal she was encouraged to hang in their and they would support her. That they did and even the staff was criticized by these racists for taking the side of a white witch.

You can attack me Beah you a$$#*!e but you can leave my wife out it thank you very much. She has never hurt a soul and there are many a black parent who will testify to her dedication and the difference she made in their children's lives. Nice insults there you loser.

But, people on all sides have to be ready to hear where they are right and where they are wrong. It's always that 2nd part that trips them up. Race relations in America is a painful subject and human nature is such that it's hard not respond out of our own individual pain when speaking about the broader issue. But I don't believe in "can't" and I won't give in to the thought that we'll never reach a better understanding. (Sing it with me . . . I am I Don Quixote the Man of La Mancha . . . !) Smiling

So, I've been marinating my thoughts and waiting for emotions on the blogs to cool just a bit. I'll be looking out for your statement.

Howdy Smiling

This is one of those battles that perhaps I may have enjoyed more as a spectator. Hope you didn't get any mud and garbage on your nice outfit there. Eye-wink

But, people on all sides have to be ready to hear where they are right and where they are wrong.

You are 100% right on that one. Hence the delimna. I think what you stated and leaving the "past in the past" are the two elements that must come into play in order for common ground to discovered. I truly hope that we can eventually get to that point before it's too late.

So, I've been marinating my thoughts and waiting for emotions on the blogs to cool just a bit.

Chuckle...chuckle.. I wish I was the one waiting for emotions to cool down instead of being one of them in need of cooling down. I'm cool..yeah.... think cooool.

Later Smiling

SO I guess there is an epidemic of hand slamming going on in the Fulton county school system.... Do you even know the definition of isolated...here it is just for you.... to set or place apart; detach or separate so as to be alone

And as for an isolated incident, surely you jest. Ha, you really are funny beah3.

Yes, actually there are several reverse discrimination suits against Fulton County pending and several that have already succeeded.

You should feel free to address all of these one sided, racially discriminatory, and divisive 'isolated' issues as well:

United Negro College Fund
Black Ms. America
Black Entertainment Television
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People
Affirmative Action
FUBU
Congressional Black Caucus - whites need not apply
Black History Month
Minority Set-asides
Hyphenated Heredity (African-American)
Black Colleges (Morehouse, etc.)

… and others.

Apparently, you are not being very well taught at your middle school. It must be an all white school.

We will be patient for your response to all of these currently existing programs. I have always wanted to know how dividing and isolating somehow unites.

I have always wondered how you decide who enters these groups, is it by the “content of their character” or is it “by the color of their skin”?

When you ask...."I have always wondered how "you" decide who enters these groups..." are you asking me??.... Do you know me to be affiliated with any these organizations or again is your ignorance causing you bigotry to shine through.

"...is your ignorance causing you(sic) bigotry to shine through.(sic)" Let's see here, where should I begin?

I suppose you mean 'YOUR' bigotry not "YOU" bigotry? And, since it is a question, I suppose you wanted to use (one of the two) question marks that you used in your title and not a period. (This is really getting redundant.)

To attempt an answer your simple mind can comprehend:

YOU actually don't have to be 'affiliated' with an organization to support it. Which, yet again, causes me to have to ask you, do YOU support or do YOU wish to denounce these organizations?

United Negro College Fund
Black Ms. America
Black Entertainment Television
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People
Affirmative Action
FUBU
Congressional Black Caucus - whites need not apply
Black History Month
Minority Set-asides
Hyphenated Heredity (African-American)
Black Colleges (Morehouse, etc.)

If you support them, then YOU are the YOU I referred to in my previous blog.

Please explain how the criteria is the "content of one's character" and not "the color of one's skin".

If you denounce them, we don't disagree and YOU would be one who supports these racist organizations.

Have a nice night sweetheart Eye-wink
